  In our last update, we gave you a quick look at just how much Crowded has changed over the past six months. Now it’s time to take a closer look at one of the biggest changes of all: The crows themselves. In earlier versions of Crowded, our crows mostly followed predefined routines. They knew where to go and what to do, but there wasn’t much decision-making behind it. That has changed completely. From following scripts to making decisions Every crow now constantly evaluates what is happening around the colony and decides what to do next. Buildings can announce open jobs, construction sites can request workers, and buildings that are missing resources can ask for deliveries. Free crows then pick up these tasks based on what currently needs attention. • Crowded Devlog #00 — We’ve Been Busy 🐦 - 22 August 2026

  Over the past six months, we’ve been rebuilding, refactoring, redesigning and expanding Crowded from the ground up. What started as a tech demo has grown into a much more complete colony-building game. And the crows have changed quite a bit, too. They can now think, work, rest, satisfy their needs, make decisions and even leave the colony if they’re unhappy. They’ve also learned something rather important: How to fly. Our crows now navigate the world in 3D, avoid obstacles, react to wind and find routes that actually make sense. And yes — you can influence that wind yourself. Meanwhile, the world around them has been rebuilt. We now have 17 fully modelled and playable buildings, a new terrain, new grass system and foliage, a completely reworked crow rig, new animations, visible transportation and much more.
