- Dev Log #8 - 17 August 2026
Howdy Folks!I’ve been hard at work on the next batch of content for PACK, and I want to share a look at what’s coming next to the experimental branch, along with a transparent update on the overall plan for full release.New MapsThe next update is heading to the experimental branch soon, featuring two brand-new maps to clean, restore, and recycle. I’m looking forward to getting your feedback on these new environments once they go live for testing. The Road to 1.0As I work on these updates and figure out the path to 1.0, I’ve had to step back and take an honest look at the scale of the project and where things stand commercially. While I’m super happy that PACK has been received positively by those who’ve played it, the game simply hasn't picked up the commercial traction needed to sustain extended development. When I launched into Early Access, my target was around 20 levels. But as a sol…

- Dev Log # 6 - 6 May 2026
Howdy Folks!Hope everyone is doing well out there! It’s another week and I’ve got another dev log for you. I’ve made some further changes to the upgrade system that I wanted to share.Upgrade SystemAs discussed in a previous dev log, the original plan was for you to purchase upgrades to improve various attributes, such as washing speed, washing area, and movement speed. These upgrades were to be unlocked using the remaining resources acquired in each level. You may notice I’m using the past tense there—that’s because I’ve made some changes to address a couple of problems with that plan.Problem 1: Repairing Soft LockIf players can spend their resources at any time, they could potentially spend the materials needed to finish repairs in a given level, which would block their progress. Because the new system allows resources to be saved from level to level, you could technically go to the ne…
- Dev Log #5 - 22 April 2026
Howdy Folks!I've made solid progress on the new upgrade system since our last check-in. I’m excited to share these developments with you now.UpgradesI've had a lot of requests for an upgrade system since the release of PACK. It wasn't something I originally planned for the game, but I do agree with having a sense of progression, aside from cleaning the levels, is an important gameplay experience. I know I certainly like that type of progression. The updated game menu will display your upgrades alongside detailed level info, including remaining repairs and a more detailed breakdown of your cleaning progression.Upgrade CategoriesThe upgrade system I've developed is broken into several upgrade categories where each category can be upgraded multiple times. Upgrade categories include Movement Speed, Washer Speed, Washer Area, Vacuum Capacity, Repair Speed and Flashlight. Repair speed doesn't…
- Development Progress - 26 March 2026
Howdy, Folks!Hope your gear is holding up and your filters are clear. I wanted to drop a quick update, and pull back the curtain, on what I’m currently tinkering with on the workbench. While the wasteland is never truly "clean," I’m making sure the tools you use to scrub it down are sharper than ever.High-Visibility GrimeThe current cleaning highlight has served its purpose, but let’s be honest: some of that dirt loves to play hide-and-seek against the background environment. To save your eyes (and your sanity), I’ve completely overhauled the cleaning highlight system. The new tech makes objects and surface grime pop with much higher contrast. A Smarter HUD for the Hardworking CleanerAs I’ve teased before, the new in-game menu is officially taking shape. My goal here is total clarity; the menu now provides a detailed breakdown of level progression so you know exactly what's left to hit…

Howdy Folks! It’s been an incredible journey since launching into Early Access, and I’ve been hard at work processing your feedback. Today, I’m excited to drop the first major content update for PACK. I’m expanding the ruins with new locations and giving you a much-needed tool upgrade to handle the heavier junk.New Locations: Junction Refuge & Frost ResidenceIt’s time to recalibrate your sensors and head out to two brand-new environments. Whether you’re scrubbing down the tunnels of Junction Refuge or swabbing the deck at the Frost Residence, there are plenty of fresh stains and hidden secrets (keep an eye out for a new easter egg!) waiting for you.Introducing: The Power WasherI heard the feedback—some junk is just too big for the vacuum. I’ve added a Secondary Fire to the washer. This high-pressure blast is designed to deconstruct larger physics objects and newly added static structures…

- 2026 Roadmap Details - 2 February 2026
Howdy Folks!A massive thank you to everyone diving into PACK and letting me know what you think! It’s been great hearing from you all. I wanted to provide an update on what I’m currently working on and when you can expect new content.I’ve structured the game into four main chapters. Right now, you’re playing the first one. My goal is to release about five levels per chapter, with two new levels dropping roughly every two months.I’m also working on several new mechanics with the biggest one being player upgrades. I didn't originally plan on including an upgrade system, but after hearing your thoughts and spending more time with the game, I’ve found a way to weave them in that feels natural and adds some great depth.Player UpgradesYou’ll be able to purchase these upgrades through a new in-game menu, using the leftover resources you’ve gathered from each level. Most player attributes will h…
