  From the moment The Lone Sword released, the top feedback it was receiving was clear: great technical side, subpar music. It's time to address it.Yes, I'm patching the music now.Eight different music themes got remastered and/or expanded for improved clarity and cohesion so instruments blend together much better and the tracks are more fit for longer listening. Special standouts:The theme playing in Armory-2, Armory-5 (and other levels) got an additional layer of instrumentation and generally refined flow.The waltz theme playing in Armory-4 and Armory-6 got expanded to more than double the length to avoid repetition.The three themes playing in Forge are much more polished now, with all instruments contributing to one body at last.All around improvements in mixing for wider range of speakers.Minor visual tweaks for backgrounds in some levels.A fix for widescreen UI on low resolution scre…

  Today's patch introduces some minor tweaks and fixes.Fixed camera movement during the first frames after loading a level: it will never show out-of-bounds areas now.Shortened the Riposte button inactivity time after using it (preventing accidental switch). During this time the input prompt is hidden now.Added some audio/music behaviors around the dialogue in Lab-M.In places where dialogue options can be repeated, the already used options are now greyed out.If you encounter any problems with this version, please report them in the comments or in Community Hub.Have fun, Kamil

• The Lone Sword is now Verified on Steam Deck - 7 May 2026

  I was saying it since day one, but it's official now. The Lone Sword is Steam Deck Verified. This means it's been fully tested and met all of Steam's requirements for being enjoyed on the go.The Lone Sword runs great with limited power. It runs natively on SteamOS and other Linux distros. All its UI is perfectly readable in 800p. It has a dedicated Controller control scheme. It can even be played using Deck's multitouch touchscreen, which is quite a rarity. It also received a fancy landing page saying how good it does.If you encounter any problems playing on Deck, please let me know, in comments or in this Community Center.This is just brilliant.Full release notes for 1.0.2Improved small text legibility in overworld map and in pause screen.   The first patch arrives!Fixed the behavior of certain friend in Forge-B during post-game and during the ball-and-chain sequence. In a specific edge case it could cause a soft lock, so thanks for reporting this.Corrected the conditions for circle explosion during movement.

  It took several years of after-hours solo development, but it's finally ready. It was born from a single mechanic, and I learnt level design and drawing and music to build upon it.The most difficult things? Keeping on for these very long stretches of time when you have seemingly nothing to show for your work. After careful consideration, it is decided: The Lone Sword will officially release on April 21, 2026.To celebrate this, you can watch a brand new gameplay trailer:The game experienced major progress in recent months, with a lot of polish and improvements. Even after countless hours of work, playtests can still bring in new feedback, and new elegant solutions can suddenly appear where you'd least expect it.   As we develop later parts of the game and apply player feedback, it's time to make our demo available once more. Players that missed our entry in the Next Fest can now experience updated version of our demo, containing just about the first 30 minutes of The Lone Sword's campaign.Some changes made since the last showing:Controls got tweaked a little bit, both with in-game actions and UI navigationThe Sword now has a tiny voice, reacting to your input and attacksThe engine got updated to Unity 6 and then to a vulnerability-free version of Unity 6The game still runs natively and very smoothly on Steam Deck and Apple Silicon.
