- Chapter 2, Part 1 released - 26 August 2026
Chapter 2, Part 1 is out now Hey everyone, how's it going? Comatose is made by one person, and one of my goals this year is to keep updates coming at a steadier pace instead of disappearing for many months at a time. That is why Chapter 2 is releasing in two parts. This way you get new content sooner, and I get to keep improving the game in shorter cycles rather than sitting on everything until it is all finished. Part 1 is available right now and runs for roughly an hour and a half of gameplay. What is in Chapter 2, Part 1New enemies waiting for you in areas you have not seen yet. New cutscenes that push the main story forward. A deeper story overall. Chapter 2 digs into what Chapter 1 only hinted at. Improvements and quality of lifeGeneral gameplay improvements across the whole game, not just the new chapter. Dialogue can now be skipped, which should make replays and backtracking much…
- 25% OFF: The Lowest Price Comatose Will Ever Be - 22 July 2026
25% OFF: The Lowest Price Comatose Will Ever Be Hey everyone, First of all: thank you. Since launching in Early Access, the support from this community has been beyond anything I imagined. Every review, every bug report, every message. As a solo dev, it all means the world. Comatose exists and keeps growing because of you. Now, some important news about the future of the game. Comatose is 25% OFF until July 27. After the sale ends, the base price of the game will increase from $8.99 to $12.49 (with equivalent adjustments in regional currencies). Why the increase? Comatose has grown a lot since launch, and with Chapter 2 coming as a free update in October, along with everything else planned for the road to full release, the new price better reflects what the game is becoming. And remember: if you own the game, all future chapters are free. Buy once, get everything. That means this sale i…

- Combination padlock and other fixes - 6 June 2026
Hey there!Want to get started by thanking you all for your patience and feedback. I have done a lot of bugfixing and general improvements to the game today and bring you this update. Here's the list:Combination padlock completely removed from gameI improved the mechanic but In the end it was just too confusing for a lot of players. The mechanic itself needs a total rework into a different type of lock (which is something I want to work on in the future) As of right now, this lock was removed and replaced with keys (and in one case the whole puzzle was removed)Removed Grave dirt models that were non Digable to avoid confusion. Now every grave dirt site can be digged.Fixed dialog where a voice line from Eunice was being said by LauraImproved level design on house 36 (the bookshelf house). The entrance is now more visible as you enter the area. Some handgun ammo pieces were non interactable…
- Combination Padlock Fixed! - 5 June 2026
The combination padlock has been fixed. Instead of a free movement it will instead work on fixed increments of 5. This way there is no way of undershooting or overshooting the required number. Since this issue was more pressing, I pushed a hotfix with just that bug fixed, but I will be doing more bug fixes throughout the day and I will be pushing a new build tonight. Thank you for your patience!

- Game release date delayed - 24 April 2026
Hey there! how's it going? It is with an extremely heavy heart that I come here to let you guys know that comatose will need to be delayed by a couple months. Reason for that is that I have sent the game for review and Valve has not yet approved of it. I have sent it 20 days in advance when they normally ask for two weeks, But because my game has sensitive content Valve needed some extra time to properly review it. This should not push us back too much since I have most of chapter one already finalized. We were on track to release all of the content in time for early access after all.But the bright side is that because of this delay I will be able to polish and iron out every remaining bug and outstanding issues and also implement all of the feedback that I already got from the demo.Thank you for your support and I'm sorry that I wasn't able to get the game out for you guys today.
