- 【Curry Princess GOLD】Current Development Status and Where We're Headed - 2 September 2026
Hi, this is Saori from Birdkin Studio!Today I want to talk about where development currently stands, and what's coming next.Current Status: Where Things StandCurry Princess GOLD is built around three modes: Classic Mode, Story Mode, and 2-Player Mode.Classic Mode, the origin point of this world and something of a bonus in the overall package, is now over 90% complete — what's left is just making sure it's consistent with the other modes.Story Mode, the main focus of this title, is taking shape from the early stages through the mid-game. The first three stages (Hardy the Sorcerer, Will the Dragon, and Mummy Joe) are essentially done, both implementation and debugging. The following stage, Lady Snow's, is nearly fully implemented too, with only enemy tuning left to go.\Beyond that, progress varies stage by stage. For the mermaid Lavender's stage and Alice's stage, the visual side — backgro…

Hi, this is Saori from Birdkin Studio!First things first — I took all of August off from development. If you were worried, I'm sorry for the silence. I needed a month to get back to a pace I can sustain. So this time, I'll share a wrap-up of what I worked on in July.🍛What I worked on in JulyDebugging (Dragon Stage, Lady Snow Stage, the map scene, the leaderboard, the post-clear event scene for Hardy's Stage, and adjustments to the ambient sound looper, among others)Implemented PC display optionsAdded keyboard & mouse support for PCPixel art (achievement icons, characters that hadn't been drawn yet, and more)Key visual artwork🍛About the key visualI've been using a placeholder key visual for a while now, and I'm currently drawing a lot of additional character art to bring it to what it's really meant to be. It's not finished yet, but I expect to complete it in September and swap it in ac…

I can’t say too much without spoiling things, but I think I captured a mood that really fits her character. Please give it a listen in the video below.🎁Debugging: Mummy Joe & Dragon StagesAdjustments and bug fixes for existing stages. Specifically, I tightened up the behavior around Mummy Joe’s bombs, and the Dragon’s charge attack.🎁System WorkI started in on the milestones (achievements). Since this game is coming to Nintendo Switch as well as Steam, I’ve built my own milestone scene that syncs with Steam’s achievement system. The underlying system is finished, so all that’s left is checking that the not…
