- The Doors are Reopening and the renovation was massive - 18 April 2026
Back in December, I had to make the tough call to put Nightclub Architect on hold. It was a lights out moment for the project, but as it turns out, I just needed to rethink the entire development plan.I’m back, and development is officially resumed.During this break, I didn't just sit around. I looked at the core concept, analyzed what was working and what was dragging the game down, and decided to overhaul several key aspects of the gameplay and development process. Many systems have been rewritten from scratch to ensure the game is flexible and ready for future expansion.I’ve changed how I approach development to make sure updates are more consistent and meaningful. And the most important.Focusing the Scope: I’ve decided to narrow the initial focus to perfect the core mechanics first. Instead of trying to do everything at once, I’m building a solid, polished foundation.Community-Driven…
- Dev Diary #12 - 19 December 2025
Hello, everyone! It's been a long time since the last diary entry, so I want to share some news with you.First, I want to announce that work on this game has been temporarily suspended. I want to emphasize that this is only temporary and development will resume soon. I need to sort out a few things, and I've also rethought some aspects of the game.Secondly, the reason why development has been temporarily suspended. The reason is that I am currently working on another game for my publisher's catalog. I have allocated three months for this game, and the first month is already coming to an end. Below, I will attach a few screenshots from it.It will be available on Steam soon, and I will also continue working on Nightclub Architect soon.

Hi everyone, in this diary I would like to share new news related to game development and other things!First of all, I would like to announce the creation of Discord server, where I will be able to post more news and information on the development of my game. Also on this server you will be able to personally communicate with me and other participants. Server I will launch in the near future soon and will make a special an announcement.Continuing with the social media theme. I'm working on creating a YouTube channel where I will also have videos and news about development and more! Now about the game. This week I've been polishing and improving existing mechanics. In particular, I've been working on improving the building system to make it more user-friendly, intuitive and enjoyable. Also fixed a few bugs, also related to the building system. Made the basis for in-game economy. Writing o…
- Dev Diary #10 - 5 November 2025
Hi! It's been over a month since the last developer diary and it's time to tell you what I've been up to.The new building system, grid system, heatmap system turned out to be very complex and difficult to implement, but very interesting. It was very interesting for me to implement them because it is a completely new experience for me, something I have never done before. Now I am motivated to work further and will soon move on to the development of systems related to visitors and club staff. Here is what has been implemented:1. The building system. It is almost complete, you can already build the club however and however you want. This system includes the NPCs who will actually build your club. Along with this, I created a universal task system for NPS, which also turned out to be very flexible.2. Zoning system. I have implemented a system with zones. This is now a fundamental mechanic th…
- Dev Diary #9 - 23 September 2025
Hi everyone, it's time to share some news with you, the first news since I started reworking my game.First of all, I wanted to rework the very concept of the game, to make a simulation where the player himself builds a club as he wants and almost anywhere he wants. Mechanics went more towards strategy and management, but it will not make the game more stuffy, and I would say even on the contrary. I have plans to make a game where you can relax, and in this respect I think I hit the mark. To all the pluses I can add more variability and even more elements that the player can control. For example, optimizing the flow of visitors, expanding rooms, managing resources such as drink stocks, etc.At the moment the construction system has been implemented. Now you can build a club as you want, any shape and any size (within the map). Partially realized the system of tasks for the staff. Further…
- Dev Diary #8 - 6 August 2025
Hi everyone, welcome to the new developer diary. In this issue I will share new details, problems and plans about my game. The main problem.I really like the simulation genre. Interesting and addictive games are released in this genre. And with my game I would like to bring something interesting to this genre too. My game is about managing a nightclub and I want the player to feel like the manager of the club, its creator and owner. Not just some handyman who inherited a club in the suburbs and now the player has to improve it. I want to do something more directed towards the creation of something of its own and management of resources, personnel and finances. At the very beginning of development I had already made one of the most important decisions, to make the game in low poly style. To make stylized graphics, which will not be similar to other projects in this genre. So now I want to…
- Beta announcement! - 16 June 2025
Hi everyone, it's time to announce the launch of the beta version of my game.I decided to first give you, so to speak, to try out my game. And based on your feedback I want to gradually improve it and go to the full release. As a beta version I will launch a demo version in Steam. That way I can collect more feedback from players. Now I've switched my focus to making this demo version and I'll put it on the page soon. I've also started making a discord server for easy feedback gathering and in general to create a whole community.I'm still working on the game alone and it's very hard to keep track of all aspects. So the demo version will be released this summer. Thanks for following the project! See you in the next post.

Hi everyone, it's past time to share news about the development of my game. This time I would like to mention the delays in development. In recent testing some flaws and defects in the basic mechanics of the game were discovered. Because of this I had to spend more time on development and finalization than planned. But there are a lot of positives in this. I slightly reworked the game's setting, moving the game's action to a tropical island. I wanted to add something unusual to my project. Where is the nightclub usually located? In back alleys, somewhere in skyscrapers or underground, it's all interesting, but I considered adding an island to be something unusual, something out of the ordinary. In addition to this there can be more immersed in the party atmosphere and such a summer vibe. Testers found some inconsistency in the game models. Some items and effects are knocked out of the o…
- Dev Diary #6 - 2 May 2025
Hi everyone! In this diary I would like to share my progress since the release of the last diary. I am very pleased with the fact that I have been very productive. I have done a lot of work on optimizing the game and the project as a whole. I have redone several systems such as: building system, delivery system, improved online stores, improved NPC behavior system, and improved the ordering system. I also want to note the improvements in feedback from the game, it became feel and play much better thanks to new animations and some assets. At the moment I'm working on the quest system, which I made this week, and I'm also planning to start developing the story for the game. This time I was surprised to see that there were no major difficulties and the process went very quickly. So I hope to publish the game in full access very soon. Thanks for following the project!
- Dev Diary #5 - 23 April 2025
It's been a while since the last devlog was released, so today I'm sharing game development news again. First off, I'd like to start by noting the release date of the game. I have plans to finish development by summer. At this point the game is almost ready, all that's left to do is finalize a few important mechanics and polish the game. I really want to publish the game already, but every time I have to postpone the release. I'm working on another project as a programmer and now I don't have enough time to develop my own game. But nevertheless I try to give time for my game as much as possible. To the slowing down of the pace of development I started restructuring my game. I started cleaning up code, scenes, unnecessary mechanics, prefabs and so on. When a project is a mess, it becomes very difficult to continue development. That's why I'm spending the last time on polishing the existi…
- Dev Diary #4 - 23 February 2025
Hi, welcome to the new developer diary. Since the last issue, I've been focusing on improving the game's feel and balance. During this period, I've reworked a few key mechanics: Improved the bar and drink pouring system, making the process smoother and more intuitive. Revamped the DJ work, improving the music and interaction with the sound. Updated the dance floor mechanics and visitor behavior. However, in the process of making the changes, some bugs arose that I'm actively working on now. This required rewriting several standard engine scripts to ensure stability and improve performance. Thank you for following the development of the game!
- Dev Diary #3 - 4 February 2025
Hi! The last few days of development have not been very productive, I've been very busy, but I'm trying to spend as much time as possible on game development. The other day I thought about it and realized that the game is wrong, namely the game does not honor the development of the character and the club itself. It feels like everything is already there at the start. So I decided to redo some aspects of the game. I started to do it rather late, because in less than 3 weeks the game should be ready. But I'm still hoping for the best, namely that I will be able to realize everything by the release date of the game. Now for the little things. I improved the UI in the game, added more music, and also made a store, just like in the recently popular game Supermarket Simulator. Plus improved NPCs and hiring system. The plan is to add something like entertainment for the player himself, such as…
- Dev Diary #2 - 29 January 2025
Greetings, in this new diary I would like to talk about drug trading in my game. I play a lot of games and have spent a lot of time in games like GTA Online and Drug Dealer Simulator. The latter is very addictive and at one time I only played it. So the main mechanics in DDS was respectively trading drugs, and in GTA Online there is also a nightclub where you can do such things. So these two games inspired me to create this kind of activity in my game. I have a problem with the game being repetitive, short, boring and I thought it would be a good idea to add such mechanics to the game. There's another cool game called Drug Lord Tycoon. In it as it is not difficult to guess the player is doing what trades substances, but such a process there is made as I think on excellent. First you need to grow a “plant”, watch its humidity, then dry it and find a dealer to sell it. This is only for on…
- Developer's Diary #1 - 27 January 2025
Greetings, everyone! This is my first developer diary where I would like to share the development process of my game. This is my first experience in creating a relatively large game and my first experience in writing a diary. I'm 16 years old and an aspiring game developer, I've always been inspired by indie developers and their games, successful and not so successful. Partly because of this I will start a diary like this, I'm very curious to see how it turns out and if it turns out at all, but I will try, learn and doing something new is always a good thing. And now to the game itself. I plan to put it in full access on February 25, the development is in full swing, but almost every day there are different difficulties, from bugs in the game itself to my burnout from these bugs. It happens that a system that is supposed to work doesn't work or something breaks. The latest such problem…
