• PAX West 26 was most excellent! - 19 September 2026

  PAX West 26 was most excellent! I managed to catch a nasty flu there though, so it’s taken a bit to write this retrospective. This was our first PAX, so there was a level of about the spectacle of the whole thing. I have heard it was a lesser incarnation of past PAX’s, with major players like Nintendo absent, but from our perspective it was immense for a fledgling indie studio. Our area was flooded consistently with just wonderful show goers willing to support indies. We met so many amazing people, from game fans, to media personalities, to other game devs, studios, and publishers, all willing to spend their precious time in our queue to play our game. It was humbling, inspiring, and educational at once. We can’t thank those enough who braved the crush of bodies in the cramped indie incubator to play our demo, chat with us, interview us, and wishlist us over the 4 days. We even managed…

• We are showcasing at PAX West in Seattle! - 18 August 2026

  We are so excited to announce we will be at PAX West this September in Seattle (Sep 4 - 7, 2026) in the Expo Hall at booth II16 with a playable demo of our game Take That Mainstage!   Want to give a huge thanks to Ben Geisler and the GATHR Developer Unconference for having me as a tentpole speaker last week in Green Bay! Had a wonderful time and was honored to be a part of such a cool event!

• June Updates! - 26 June 2026

  June brought many cool new updates as we march towards our Steam demo for Take That Mainstage!Our big focus is fleshing out the life sim elements. So we’ve been adding in sleeping, eating, the need to take side jobs for cash and experience, & a first implementation of watching tv & movies! The game lets you catch programs of different genres, each one adding different bonuses & inspiration to help you write music & connect with audiences.We began to implement the artwork for the music store where you recruit new band members, buy gear, sheet music, & more. Check out the amazing artwork Eymene has given us!We built the functionality for the coffee shop scene where you perform crowd requests in a Simon-like fashion to help build your reputation around town. Artwork coming next month.Finally, Logan brought our character conversations to life with excellent mouth talking animations!

• Mark is a tentpole speaker at GATHR Gamedev Unconference 26! - 19 June 2026

  I’m beyond excited to be a tentpole speaker at the GATHR Gamedev Unconference 26 (and beyond honored to be part of an event organized by the legendary Ben Geisler!) Please head out and take part, would love to see everyone there! GATHR, our games-related unconference in Green Bay which is occurring on Saturday July 18th. This is the third year of the event. This year we have tentpole speakers Mark Mikunas (from Fingers on the Moon) and Chris Reed (from Raven) speaking to us. Other than the keynotes, the rest of the event is participant-lead roundtables and demonstrations. The best part is this is absolutely FREE. • Early April Updates! - 28 March 2026

  Some really exciting updates for April!First, we've built out a whole new dream sequence for our Steam demo (coming very soon!!!) that let's you imagine what it's like playing on stage at Emerald City Amphitheater. This functions as an exciting playthrough tutorial that let's you get accustomed to the rhythm portion of the game. Next, we got some amazing artwork for the park where you'll be busking and trying to make cash & some new fans! The calm before the storm - it's early morning and no one is here yet, but soon the park will be filled with activity. More soon!Finally, the female character selection is almost done!
