• Splinter Cell comic bridges Conviction and Blacklist - 10 October 2012

  Sam Fisher is sneaking into the world of comics. Splinter Cell: Echoes is an upcoming graphic novel written by Nathan Edmondson and illustrated by Marc Laming that promises to bridge the gap between Splinter Cell: Conviction and Splinter Cell: Blacklist . Perhaps the comic can also explain how Fisher is inexplicably getting younger in every iteration--and why his voice has changed so much? Speaking to IGN, Edmonson says that while there will be "fan-service," the comic has been adapted in a way to be approachable to non-gamers as well. • Some Ubisoft games unplayable during online service transfer - 2 January 2012

  Publisher Ubisoft has announced that it will be transitioning the hosting of many of its online services "from a third-party data center to a new facility" on February 7. During the transition, which is meant to "improve the maintenance of our infrastructure and deliver better uptime and greatly improved services for our customers," some Ubisoft titles across a number of platforms will be completely or partially unplayable. Ubisoft preemptively apologizes to its customers for the inconvenience in the official announcement on the Ubisoft Online website. While there's no mention as to how long the transition of services will last, the publisher has provided a list of the games, platforms, and services that will be partially or completely taken offline during that time. • Splinter Cell: Conviction and Assassin's Creed 2 Bound for Mac Within Second-Quarter of 2010 - 22 July 2010

  Ubisoft's updated product lineup for its fiscal second-quarter reveals Mac versions of Splinter Cell: Conviction and Assassin's Creed 2 are incoming within the quarter, which ends September 2010. The report lists Assassin's Creed 2 as a EMEA release, which is the designation for titles in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with no listing for North America. As for Splinter Cell, the lising is given no region specification but the July to September time frame gives the grizzled solider just enough time to sneak away from his previous " Microsoft-exclusive " arrangement.
