  Dear community,it’s been a long time since I last posted something here — actually far too long. It’s time to slowly change that. ADOM has entered its eighth age (you can hear about the first four ages here: ; the fifth age was ADOM on Steam, the sixth age the time of Ultimate ADOM, and the seventh age the void that followed that dismal failure).So what’s new?All rights to ADOM (but not Ultimate ADOM) have recently reverted to me, Thomas Biskup, the original creator of ADOM. This also means that I once again feel motivated to maintain the game more actively and to begin a new development effort.I intend to release a new version of ADOM in late 2026 or sometime in 2027 — more likely the latter. • 42 more hours until the ADOM RPG Kickstarter ends - 11 February 2019

  Hi everyone! Just another quick note about the ADOM pen & paper RPG Kickstarter currently running its final 42 hours at https://www.adom.de/rpg-kickstarter: The Kickstarter was funded on day 1 and we unlocked extra art, extra pages for the Game Master's Guide with all kinds of Ancardian randomness as well as a Game Master Screen. And now we are very close to unlocking the first adventure. We have hired some famous RPG legends like Ed Greenwood (the creator of the Forgotten Realms), James M. Ward (the mastermind behind Metamorphosis Alpha and Gamma World), Steve Miller (renowned Ravenloft and Dragonlance designer) and some more to write short stories taking place in the world of ADOM - a free add-on for all campaign donors.   Ho ho ho! Shortly before Christmas we decided to release ADOM 3.3.2 to Steam. This celebrates our 100th ADOM release (in 27 years) - a kind of special moment. • ADOM 3.3.0 released as a Steam Beta! - 18 September 2018

  Hi everyone! After a longer pause we are proud to announce the release of ADOM 3.3.0 as a Steam beta version. You can find all the details about the release in this blog post: https://www.ancientdomainsofmystery.com/2018/09/announcing-adom-330-as-steam-beta.html To activate the beta follow these instructions: https://www.ancientdomainsofmystery.com/p/adom-beta-steam.html The biggest new feature is the "floating text" UI enhancement. Important messages now pop up in shortened form over the PC and float upwards (e.g. damage, poisoning, critical hits, items found and many more). This really adds a whole new level of comfort to the game as the text messages become far less important and you are much less likely to miss something important. Besides this there are some critical bug fixes (related to multi-turn actions, the volcano quest), another round of buffing for boss monsters and dozens…
