  ChangelogRestart Prompt now automatically shows up after a certain number of moves. The number will be either twice the opti or 30 moves if it's a short level, whichever is higher. For modded levels with no optimizations given, 60 is the default.Level Selection menu handles longer names better without display issues. • 1 Year Anniversary Level Pack available on Workshop - 28 March 2026

  Snakeloop turned 1 year old today!To celebrate this, I released a pack of 12 new levels as a free DLC available directly on the Workshop:Those 12 levels feature late game mechanics for most of them and so are recommended to be played after finishing at least the Gone chapter of the game, with a difficulty range from the middle of the Gone chapter to the final levels of the game (especially with some of the optimal solutions).Other News - Snekoloop BundleA bit unrelated but a couple months ago, my friend from Blessed Sleep Studio released Snekoban, another Snake-inspired puzzle game where you complete levels by eating your own tail although with completely different mechanics. And both games are available together in a bundle:

• Optimization Update + Animal Fest - 12 November 2025

  Not a lot of visible stuff in this update as except for the addition of an extra graphics quality settings, it's just some behind the scenes optimizations. While it probably won't be noticeable for 99% of people (as the game doesn't require much to run), it can still be nice for people playing on handheld devices as it means draw on battery. You can find the full changelog a bit further down.On other news, there's currently the Animal Fest on-going this week with the game being discounted at -40%. And I recently released another puzzle game named Rhombus which is a first-person puzzle game with exploration and non-linear elements. • Mouse/Touch Update + Cerebral Puzzle Showcase - 29 May 2025

  A new update is out making the game fully playable using only a Mouse or a Touch input (ie. Steam Deck's touch screen), making the game more accessible. Also, this week the Cerebral Puzzle Showcase takes place featuring lots of great puzzle games and Snakeloop is also getting its first sale with a 20% discount. Swapped the position of Undo & Restart prompts in the UI. Undo move / Restart input prompts can now be interacted with Mouse. Even when using Keyboard or Gamepad to move. Added a Pause button when using Mouse / Touch. When using Mouse / Touch, the Undo Move prompt shows up instantly after your first move instead of when Stuck.

• Update #1 + Extra Levels (Workshop) + Sokoban Fest - 21 April 2025

  The first update for Snakeloop is out, with mostly improvements to the workshop support and fixes some issues with cloud saving. Also, I released Snakeloop's Extra Levels, a collection of 60 levels made during the development of the game and that weren't kept. They can be found for free on the Workshop. And on other news, the game is part of Steam's Sokoban Fest running this week which features lots of puzzle games. Version d4 changelog It is now possible to update existing Workshop Levels. (through uploading again the same mod) First level of a mod will now be shown as the preview image in the workshop. Reworked Workshop Tags. • Snakeloop will release on March 28! - 3 March 2025

  So, Steam Next Fest is coming to an end meaning it's the final stretch towards the release of the game. And it's also time for the game to get a proper release date, so here's the announcement: Snakeloop will release on March 28th. Next Fest went great and thanks to everyone who tested the demo. For some data, over 500 players played the demo so far, completing a total of over 10k levels, and also highlighting a couple points that needed improvement in the game. The demo will remain available until at least the launch of the game and it is also getting a slight update to improve a couple things based on player feedback (changelog below). Now, as to the full version of the game, it is pretty much 99% ready with the only things left being some refinement on the final selection & order of the 90 levels that will be available in the main game (rest will be added as bonus on the workshop), a…

• Steam Next Fest + Demo Update - 24 February 2025

  Snakeloop will be part of Steam Next Fest starting tomorrow. The demo is also getting a small update, bringing a bit of QoL based on feedback and fixing a couple minor issues. Demo Version b3 Changelog Level Selection can now be accessed through the Pause menu or Level Complete screen. Fixed the optimization of E01 (21 moves -> 19 moves). Fixed the optimization of E03 (13 moves -> 12 moves). Fixed the Levels' names not being localized. Quite a lot of optimization on levels loading, making it 2-3x faster for huge levels. Although this isn't something that will be noticeable on any of the demo's nor the full game's levels as they remain relatively small but rather very large levels that could be created through modding. (iirc, full game's biggest level is 13x13 or 169 tiles while the optimization would only be visible upon loading that have thousands of tiles. Loading levels as big as 50x…
