Greetings liminal explorers! We just dropped a patch that fixes several bugs reported by the community, as well as some small tweaks to gameplay. Patch Notes Gameplay Tweaks: Lava lamps can now be used. Interacting with them will cycle through red, green, yellow, and purple colors, allowing you to truly set the mood. Decreased gravity and increase jump height slightly after you get shrunk down in the toy room. Intended to make the platforming sections a little more forgiving and add to the feeling of being tiny. Increased radius of glitch sound for first key in cardboard city area of the boxfort chapter to make it easier to discover. Slightly reduced number of carts in the supermarket cart puzzle Bug Fixes: Fixed some areas of chapter 10 where players were getting stuck. I recently came across something incredibly cool that I just had to share.A YouTuber named bubblevader recreated Liminal Shroud inside Minecraft, and somehow managed to capture the same uneasy, dreamlike atmosphere we were aiming for in the original game.Check out the video here: What genuinely impressed me is how faithfully they translated the visual language of the game into a completely different medium. In Liminal Shroud, sound is more than background noise—it's a part of the experience. While wandering these shifting halls, you’ll encounter an eerie blend of isolation and presence. Curiosity will trade places with dread. Every note in the soundscape is designed to bring you deeper into the mystery. - Noclipping in Liminal Shroud - 29 December 2024
Noclipping is a part of reality in the backrooms, and is typically how one gets stuck there. However this anomaly can be useful, especially if you've taken the wrong path. Exploring Liminal Shroud will often give you different paths to take. Some will lead to progress, while others lead you astray. How do you explore a level full of slides that constantly send you deeper? Navigating a maze of slides can be tricky! But this place won't let you leave... until you figure it out. If you take the wrong path, there should be a way back... even if it's one-way. Let's take a look at one possible path through this oppressive concrete brutalist environment, and see what noclipping looks like! Creating these environments is an exercise in feeling out vibes. Greetings explorers! I'm working on a new level featuring the slide system I've been developing. This will give you a choice for which path you want to take through the level. Which one is the correct path? Would you get on a slide that leads into the dark void where you can't see the end? Below is a small preview of the slides and how they work. I have much of the level to build out and connect with slides, and different slides will take you on completely different paths through the level. As with previous levels, this will offer a navigation challenge for you to solve. Looking for clues in the environment and listening carefully will be the key to escape! Cheers! -M
