  • Act 2 Out Now! - 14 September 2026

The day is finally upon us, Badgersaw Act 2 is out! I'm so happy with the state of the game right now. Act 2 doubles the content of the base game, and is the perfect tail-end for the crushing despair our heroes were forced to dredge through during Act 1. Featuring new puzzles, an optional boss, food you can cook, and dating sim mechanics, Act 2 departs from the oppressive atmosphere of Act 1 whilst still keeping the surreal and whimsy core strong.Badgersaw and co. have escaped from the caverns below, only to find they've stumbled in the middle of a mysterious village, and are taken captive! The security is pretty lax though, maybe you can figure out what's going on whilst you make your escape? The release is coinciding with Steam Party-Based RPG fest, at a whopping 50% discount! If you've been waiting on this patch to try Badgersaw, now is the time!

I really went to town on Act 2, it almost doubles the length of the base game and includes:Over 25 unique full-screen backgrounds5 event graphicsAll new sounds and animations during combatNew equipment and skillsA super secret super boss for you to super secretly eliminateA whole new chapter of plot, quests and puzzles to exploreMark your calendars and take care!

  • Chapter 2 (Now Act 2) will be a FREE Update! - 2 July 2026

Hello friends, acquaintances, and those past three degress of seperation,I'm writing to announce that Act 2 of The Adventures of Badgersaw will be a FREE update. That's right, It will cost zilch, nada, nihilus absolutus. It will be freer than the morning sun, scorching across your neck in the sahara.I will also be posting monthly progress updates from now on. Something for everyone to look forward to. At the moment, it's mostly just art and polish left. Here are some samples of the upcoming environments: Until next time, friends.

  • Chapter 2 Progress Update - 22 April 2026

Hey Badgerfans,It's been about a year since The Adventures of Badgersaw: Chapter 1 released on steam. So, what's up with chapter 2?TL;DRChapter 2 is weeks away from a private playtestCore gameplay is feature-completeAfter playtesting: art polish + release prepWhy The Silence?Last year was chaotic, I was moving countries and dealing with a lot behind the scenes. Because of that, I focused on getting the game working first, rather than making it look good early. For a long time, Chapter 2 basically looked like a text adventure, closer to something like Zork than the colourful adventure of Chapter 1.So instead of posting half-finished visuals, I kept my head down and built the game properly. What's The Now?Now that I’m settled, progress has sped up massively. The game is nearing a private playtestSystems and content are largely in placeWe're looking at the next few months being feedback and…

  • Version 1.1 Released! - 25 September 2025

After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, The Adventures of Badgersaw is blessed with its first major update!Version 1.1 sees almost the entire code-base ripped apart and recreated from the ground up. It was much too messy for me to reliably build future chapters off of, and now it’s nice and clean. In addition, I took this opportunity to add several new features that couldn’t make the cut for release, a non-exhaustive list of these is as follows:Three new expression portraits for Mr L and Tantalum, retro-fitted to the story of Chapter 1.A host of new wandering dialogue scenes which trigger randomly as you explore the cavern.A new extras menu containing a Gallery & Music Room. Some slight corrections to the script including spelling and grammar, we well as certain dialogue routes not triggering when they were supposed to.A bunch of new chibi-style artwork to compliment the score screen at…

  • What's New In Chapter 2? - 22 June 2025

I’m going to be posting devlogs from here on out! And what better way to kick these off than with a preview of what’s awaiting Badgersaw and his friends in Chapter 2!Wait, did someone say friends? It seems Tantalum and Mr. L decided to ditch our Badgeriffic hero as soon as they got out of the cave!Don’t worry though, the three have found themselves trapped in another awkward predicament, and Badgersaw is taking it upon himself to set them all free in a (mostly) solo adventure. All of the screenshots below are still very much Work In Progress and don't represent the final art! This time around the heroes have found themselves arrested and placed in a sectioned off area in a secluded village, free to wander around and uncover its many secrets. We’ll see a little less combat and a lot more puzzle solving and dialogue as the three unravel more of the mystery. Play at your own paceFinally out…

Hello Badger Battalion! We have arrived on steam next fest, and after much wailing and gnashing of teeth, my Dev Stream is now up and running! Come hang out and have a laugh as I experience the game I made for the first time!* And if you haven't already, the discord group is growing and you can join up! Discord Group *It's my first time playing it with you guys. DEMO FAQ What exactly is in the Demo? The demo is the first few segments of chapter one, with an alternate gag ending if you make it to the end. It also contains two optional bosses and a post-game scorecard for those who like to get stuck in. Will save data be transferable from the Demo to the Full Game? The answer is yes! You can select any save games you made during the demo (provided that save game was made during or after Next Fest) from the Load menu in the main game, you're basically getting the first portion of the game…
