Hello Ship Destroyers! Contracts have been part of the Ship Graveyard Simulator series for a long time, and in Ship Graveyard Simulator 3 we've expanded the system to offer more variety, more player choice, and more reasons to think beyond the ship you're currently dismantling. REPLAYABILITY Every ship now generates a selection of optional contracts from a much larger pool of objectives. Each set is randomized, while the game ensures that all selected contracts are compatible and can be completed. This means every ship offers slightly different goals, even if you've dismantled it before. WAREHOUSE AND STORAGE One of the biggest changes is how contracts interact with the warehouse. Recovered materials are no longer tied to a single ship. If you've kept the required resources in storage, you can complete a newly generated contract immediately without having to search for those materials a…

Hello Ship Destroyers! While dismantling ships remains the core of the game, we wanted the scrapyard to gradually evolve into something bigger than a place where the player simply cuts steel and sells resources. To support that, we've been working on three connected systems: employees, the management computer and the day/night cycle. The Computer In SGS3, the computer acts as the central point for managing your business. Many systems that were previously separated or simplified are now connected through a single interface. From here, players can purchase ships, browse contracts, check warehouse contents, manage employees, read emails and keep track of various scrapyard activities. One of our goals was to make progression feel less like unlocking individual menus and more like gradually building an actual shipbreaking company. The computer naturally turns into the place where most strate…

Hello Ship Destroyers! As your shipbreaking operation grows, moving materials by hand quickly becomes inefficient. Vehicles provide a way to transport resources, equipment and heavy cargo across the scrapyard. Each vehicle serves a specific purpose and becomes increasingly important as ships grow larger and contracts become more demanding. Over time, players can expand their fleet, unlock additional garage space and build a fully equipped industrial transport operation. Pickup Truck The pickup truck is the first cargo vehicle available to the player and acts as a versatile workhorse for everyday scrapyard operations. Its cargo bed can be loaded manually with resources. It is ideal for quick and small transport – e.g. materials between dismantling zone and warehouse, quick sale in the scrap market or delivering side quests. The pickup is fast, easy to maneuver, making it a practical solu…
- Devlog #6 - 28 May 2026
Hello Ship Destroyers! Breaking apart a ship is not just about cutting steel into smaller pieces. Some elements are simply too large, too heavy, or too dangerous to move by hand. In Ship Graveyard Simulator 3, heavy machinery is a core part of the dismantling process. Large engines, ship sections, industrial equipment, generators, and some structural fragments all require proper lifting and transport systems. This is where the crane comes in. Part of the ship structure In SGS3, heavy objects are not “special scripted props.” They are fully integrated into the ship’s physical structure: They have weight They require support They can become unstable They can collapse together with surrounding construction They may damage or damage other elements if dismantled incorrectly Removing a massive engine block is not just pressing a button. You first need to prepare the structure around it. That…

Hello Ship Destroyers! Ships are the core of Ship Graveyard Simulator 3. Every large structure in the game starts long before production itself - with research, documentation, and understanding how the original vessel was actually built. Built from real documentation All ships in SGS3 are based on real vessels and recreated almost in a 1:1 scale. In many cases, development started with: Archival blueprints Technical drawings Historical documentation Real-world references and photographs Building a ship required much more than just recreating its shape. To properly design interiors and layout, we often had to understand: How specific sections functioned What their original purpose was How crew members would actually use them Whenever possible, we translated original room names and technical markings to better understand the logic behind the ship’s structure. This research phase became a…
- Devlog #4 - 30 April 2026
Hello Ship Destroyers! In Ship Graveyard Simulator 3, tools were redesigned to better support the dismantling process. The goal was not just to improve them, but to make their behavior clear and predictable, while giving the player more freedom than in previous games. Each tool solves a specific problem and follows its own logic. Once you understand the rules, you know exactly what to expect. Hammer - Damage-based desctruction The hammer is built around a damage-driven system. Used for breaking floors, walls, and destructible props Elements have HP and react to impact Sweet spots reward more precise hits This is not an instant interaction. You see the destruction process and have control over it. Saw - Precised cutting The saw is used on lighter structures and connection points: Pipes, railings, and similar “serial” elements such as cables Yellow cut points (e.g. hinges) The interaction…

Today, we want to briefly introduce one of the biggest changes in Ship Graveyard Simulator 3 - The Destruction And Collapse System. ⚙️ From dismantling to structure In previous Ship Graveyards, dismantling was more predictable - you removed parts and things behaved in a simple way. In SGS3, every element is part of one connected system. Beams, floors, walls and hull panels all have weight, can support each other and can lose stability. This…

- Devlog #2 - 9 April 2026
Hello Shipbreakers! Not sure if you’ve seen it yet, but we’ve officially set the start date for the Ship Graveyard Simulator 3 playtests - April 15, 2026! This is your chance to sign up, so don’t miss out. To join, simply head to the game’s main page and click the “Request Access” button. Now, today we want to outline the core gameplay loop in Ship Graveyard Simulator 3 and clarify what has (and hasn’t) changed compared to previous games. At a fundamental level, the loop remains the same: You acquire ships, dismantle them, recover materials, and generate profit. That structure is intentional. It’s the main part of the game, and SGS3 is built around reinforcing it rather than replacing it. At the same time, we’ve introduced additional systems that expand how you can engage with that loop. These are optional and designed to sit alongside the core experience, not override it. ⚒️ Dismantlin…
