- Settings Update - Render Scale and Gamepad Menu - 17 September 2026
A small settings update is now available for Alien Grounds.The graphics settings now include a Render Scale option with four choices:100%85%75%60%This gives you another way to balance image quality and performance, especially on high-resolution and high-DPI displays. 85% is now the default setting.I have also reorganized the Settings menu. All gamepad-related options have been moved into their own Gamepad tab, making the Main settings page cleaner and easier to navigate.As always, you can adjust the graphics settings depending on your hardware and preferred frame rate.Thanks for playing Alien Grounds.

The July Monthly Challenge continues.Early in the month, many players submit their first scores. That is a good start, but early scores are often not enough to hold the winning position by the end of the challenge.According to the Hall of Fame, previous Monthly Challenge winners have ranged from 16,000 to 160,000 points, but a strong practical target is around 50,000 points or more.To compete for the top position, 50,000+ is a good score to aim for. The April Challenge is heating up.On April 10, dakkarino led the month with 77,739, while Elisey sat in 2nd on 57,078.Just three days later, Elisey stormed past the lead and hit 90,011.As of April 20, Elisey has extended that run to 108,131 and now leads the month heading into the final stretch.The podium battle changed too. Regular Update 31 is live.Gravity Gun - time speed limits adjusted (difficulty-based):Easy: 200% maxMedium: 250% maxHard: 300% max (unchanged)This is a meaningful gameplay balance change for Gravity Gun runs. Easy is now much easier to keep tempo and stay in control. Scoring balance stays in check because the score multiplier scales with time speed - lower limits mean lower multiplier. Hard remains the same for high-score runs.Also: weapon performance improvements in this update.
