We're pleased to announce that the original version of Chronicles of a Dark Lord: Episode 1 Tides of Fate here on Steam has been given a long-awaited, major update that is free for owners of the game to download! Here's a listing of the changes we've implemented: 1) Reworked the intro to better reflect the Remastered version's introduction using the game's existing assets. 2) Several updated and new music tracks are integrated into the game. 3) All of the battlebacks for the game have been completely remade. 4) New and updated graphics for many objects and the environment. 5) Miscellaneous fixes/re-balancing.

We wanted you all to know, both fans of the game and those who were critical of it, that we have been listening and reading your reviews and comments, and we've implemented as much as we can (as per the engine's inherent limitations) to give you the better experience you deserve. Features of this update: 1) Revised dialogue for many of the major cut-scenes of the game. NPC dialogue has been mostly left as-is (save for a few grammar and spelling fixes).
