• BIG changes incoming - 3 May 2026

  Hello! it wasn't an easy decision, but I decided to start over. The thing is, the DI was based on a template called Survival Island by Watermelon Games. It's perfect for a mobile game, but not for a PC game (too repetitive). So I wanted to add more features and modify it to make it more interesting.But there's one problem... This template is so complex (custom tools, custom level editor) that it's like an engine inside an engine, and even the developers say that due to its unique nature, it shouldn't be modified at all. And I, a complete coding noob, wanted to do just that. Yeah, bravo me The end result? Problems with the save system, MANY gameplay-breaking bugs, and plugins that only partially worked (Playmaker, Dialogue System, Magica Cloth).   How I almost lost entire game When I started this project I was using Unity 5. Unfortunately I made some major changes that broke the game template... I tried to fix it myself but quickly realized that it would be better and faster to just reinstall the template to restore the default settings. And then I saw the update and downloaded it without reading the changes. After starting Unity I immediately got 999+ critical errors. NOTHING worked anymore and the reason was simple... The template no longer supports Unity 5. I had to start almost from scratch. About graphical downgrade The current demo looks amazing, but is horribly optimized. As a Steam Deck owner, I want to play it without overheating my SD and turning it into a jet engine. So I decided to reduce the grass density and remove most of the shadows.
