- My favorite cosmic horror RPG is still being updated, and thanks to this latest patch 'The rat child's Copy Dad ability no longer copies gun skills for free' - 16 April 2026
The sky is broken. Anyone who looks at it turns into something out of Call of Cthulhu. Fortunately, the authorities say they'll have it fixed in 15 days. Maybe they're going to turn it off and then on again? Until then, you just have to hunker down in your apartment building with your baseball bat and your videogames and wait the whole thing out... - Soundtrack update! - 20 December 2025
We are updating the soundtrack to include all of the new music!I have been working on an update with some fixes and balance tweaks, this will be going live sometime next week. Also, about the soundtrack update - if the song titles dont seem to match to the music, this might be because your local files for the soundtrack have failed to update locally. Sometimes this is because your system is preventing steam from overwriting the files. Running steam in administrator mode should usually fix this.

- Look Outside gets new endings, monsters, and more - 28 October 2025
Just when you thought it was safe to open the door, Look Outside has mutated into something... meaner. The Final Vision update is out now, and it’s free for everyone who already owns the game. Congratulations. You’re trapped again. This is the 2.0 version of Look Outside, the survival horror RPG that dares to ask “what if your neighbors were horrible meat creatures and your living room was the safest place in the world?” You’ll find new endings, new monsters, new quests, and a Cursed challenge mode that does exactly what it says on the tin. There are new bosses, new areas, and at least a few new reasons never to open your front door again. If you’ve played it before, come back. If you haven’t, the game is now 30% off on Steam. You can explore the apartment. You can meet the residents. You can even cook dinner. But whatever you do… don’t look outside.

Hello everyone, here is a new round of fixes and updates! There is a new public beta branch available! Untested builds will go there before going live. I may put balance tweaks, fixes and content additions there early for testing, but be careful, the beta will be less stable! A larger update will come in about a month, and I will be using the beta branch for early testing during that time. If you find a bug, always mention your build number on the title screen in your report! For instructions on opting in to the beta branch, scroll to the bottom of these patch notes. Additions: Added a popular controller/key configuration plugin to help with control setups. Fixed the weird name input screen not having an obvious/easily accessible Delete button Added Hungry Steve. Balance Tweaks: Dan: Restored Dan's scan ability, now it is working as intended, and gives more information about monsters. T…

Hello everyone, here is a big one for you horror lovers! This update comes with many adjustments, balancing and new features to various party members. The goal here is to balance them out - weaken the really overpowered stuff and strengthen the weaker characters, make them more interesting wherever we can. We want to have the roommates on a more even footing before we tweak the game to be overall harder in its second half. There are also some preliminary balance changes on some late game enemies, but nothing too complicated yet. Warning, there are spoilers for secrets in the update notes! New Content: Ernest now has a little friend with him. (this is in preparation for the next, bigger Ernest-related update. Added a new friend next door. - Launch and Balancing - 27 March 2025
Hi everyone! When I started this project last October, it was just a funny little side project for a game jam (shoutout to Hawkzombie for running it!), and I had no idea the original modest demo build would blow up so much. Now, six months later, with the help of many wonderful people, we have a full launch on Steam with very positive reviews! What a journey! Thank you all for your support for this amazing launch! That said, I am aware that some of you are experiencing certain issues with the game. I am doing my best to keep track of all your reports, and I'm grateful for all and any feedback you send my way. Earlier this morning, I deployed the first patch to address some critical issues, and I'm currently working on another one. I'm also aware that some of you are struggling with the difficulty in the first part of the game, while finding the later parts too easy. Some early balance a…
- Patch Notes 1.01 - 27 March 2025
Hello everyone! To start, thank you all for the amazing feedback and love for the game, it is really appreciated! And here is the list of all the fixes and changes: Bug Fixes Fixed sacrificing your right hand not working properly. was always sacrificing your left. Fixed two items in eugenes' shop being incorrectly setup Sprites missing - one early game enemy, the tumorhead, didnt leave a dead monster sprite when killed, and just stood there after death. Some mid-game enemies, ticks that are stuck on the heads of some large worm-things, had nothing showing you they were there. Added the ticks visually onto the worm things to attract the players attention to examine them. One early enemy, the lokjaw, had two of its battle frames wrong, one was still a sketch and the other, the close-up frame before it opens its mouth, was the far-away frame. Fixed an issue where, when you play a video gam…
- Look Outside is a survival horror RPG where you absolutely should not look outside - 21 March 2025
Look Outside is like football in that it's a game of two halves. And in absolutely no other way is it like football, because this is a survival horror RPG about being trapped in an apartment building where your neighbors have been transformed into Cronenberg-esque monsters that are about 90% eyeballs and teeth by weight...
