- Added occlusion culling So what is occlusion culling? occlusion culling is a performance tool which is quite simple, it disables EVERYTHING that the camera can't see, and as expected The overground's map is quite big, and there are dozens of things happening at the same time, so the moment you turn around, you get hit with performance drops that last until you are in the middle of the map, but occlusion culling fixes this issue. Though the patch notes will be quite small, i felt it was only appropriate to have it be version 1.1, as the main focus of the patch, our lizard friend is completely overhauled, so: - Lizard-man behaviour COMPLETELY overhauled. While before he simply followed you at a relatively slow pace. - He now goes back and fourth between the map and you, - Every time he is with you, he has a certain chance of dropping useful items before leaving again. this behaviour change is mainly because i wanted players to be weirded out by the lizard but start to like him as time goes on, based on feedback i got, i got the first part nailed down, but the latter failed. - i also fixed animations on the lone soldier.

- fixed an egregious bug that prevented you from quiting - moved the pistol flashlight somewhere else and gave it more indication of where it was - reworked the car physics and deleted some props that we're behaving poorly with it - minor increase in detail in a building somewhere again, do not hesitate to give your feedback whatever it may be. Current bugsi know about: - the box will break incorrectly, preventing you from acquiring the gun a fix is coming for this in a few hours.

Mostly worked on the zombies and some more guidance early on. - reduced total number of zombies by 3 - reduced zombie speed down to 1 - reduced zombie attack range somewhat - depending on where a zombie spawns, they might not automatically start chasing you. - added more guidance in the opening manor to where you need to go - added a skybox to the menu... oops known bug(s) - zombie attack animations don't trigger properly - a event animation might not work properly i will keep updating the game as i get more feedback, do NOT hesitate to comment any bugs you find or email me at [email protected], any issues you get with the game. Hi hello! i am Simas, the Overground's sole developer, i've been working on this game for several months now, and the game is finally close to being finished! I first considered releasing the game only on Itch.io like i usually do, but given the fact that it's been a long-standing dream of mine to publish on steam, i decided to give it one more try, i did the whole steamworks process and here i am now with my own game!
