- Filtration v1.2.0 (2026-08-26): Minimaps! - 26 August 2026
Filtration v1.2.0 is here! It adds a new feature that should help you navigate the game's mazelike levels: Minimaps.Minimaps are available from the beginning of the game, showing the basic geometry of whatever level you're in. The room you're currently in will be highlighted, and any rooms you haven't found yet will be shown in a dull gray. You can configure the minimap from the accessibility options. There, you can turn it off if it's bothering you, or you can change it to use a top-down perspective! This is the last planned content update in Filtration for the time being--from here on out, we're going to focus on our next game projects, including the Quaternion remake. That doesn't mean there will never be more Filtration--if there's enough interest, who knows? But for now, the game's in a pretty finished state!Fixes:Improved some heap allocation, hopefully resulting in faster load time…
- Filtration v1.1.1 (2026-06-21) - 22 June 2026
Filtration v1.1.1 is live! This is a hotfix update to address an issue introduced in v1.1.0. Fixes: An issue causing Cybur's puzzles to generate much harder than expected was fixed.
- Filtration v1.1.0 (2026-06-20): Time Trials! - 21 June 2026
The first significant update to Filtration since its initial release, Filtration v1.1.0, is here! It features a major new feature for those who have beaten the game and want an extra challenge: Time Trials. After you finish the game, you can now play any of the 12 main levels in a Time Trial! In order to do so, simply select the Time Trial option from the level's portal list in the level menu. Then, complete the level as quickly as you can! You can view your best time for each level in the hub's level progress room. There's also a hidden Quantum Time for each level, so try to beat that if you can! (There's also a super-secret second time if you're really fast, so keep an eye out...) Note that Time Trials don't count towards your completion percentage as displayed on your save file, so those of you who already 100% completed the game, don't worry--that badge of honor is still just as shi…
- Filtration v1.0.4 (2026-03-22) - 22 March 2026
Filtration v1.0.4 is live! This is an extremely small update with just a single change.Fixes:A save corruption glitch has been mitigated. We couldn't find the source of the corruption, but the game will now refuse to save if it detects a save file with no Modules but with the first level completed. The save file will also be backed up as you progress through the game.
- Filtration v1.0.3 (2026-01-06) - 7 January 2026
Filtration v1.0.3 is live! This is a relatively small update to get the last few easily-fixed known issues out of the way before focusing on bigger changes/improvements. Fixes: The Orrery's gravity is fixed, along with several other small issues caused by an earlier change to spawn code. Rolling sounds no longer flicker on and off of being muted when climbing walls in the Horosphere. Hitting water with invincibility on no longer messes up the physics.
- Filtration v1.0.2 (2026-01-05) - 6 January 2026
Filtration v1.0.2 is live! This is another bugfix update. Fixes: The "pause to exit" message in Subspace levels now shows the correct keyboard key. Hoptek's visual indicators in the center of its back are now fixed. Breaker switches in the Square no longer shove you into the geometry when you hit them. You can no longer use the Shadow Module to clip into the Orrery's sun. Disabled the Tunneling Module in the Horosphere, as its behavior was badly broken there. Respawning during the final boss fight no longer causes the final cutscene to not play. Improvements: Upon spawn, you are now invisible to enemies for the first three seconds. Made it hopefully more obvious that the ball lab is interactable. Added an easter egg to the Mountain for people who like obscure 3DS games. The floor in the Laboratory's configuration room is now glass instead of a force field, making the tiles easier to rea…
- Filtration v1.0.1 (2026-01-05) - 5 January 2026
Filtration v1.0.1 is live! This is the first update, focused on fixing the most egregious bugs with the initial release as soon as possible. More updates will come in the next several weeks. Fixes: Removed a garbage collection call when pausing that was causing major lag spikes for some players. Fixed an issue where the exterior geometry of the hub would sometimes disappear. Fixed a massive memory leak with wires when flashing lights are disabled. Fixed an issue with the Garden's first cutscene playing prematurely. Moved an Ion Pack in the Belfry that had been clipped into the geometry. Fixed a potential save hardlock with the fan blades in the Datacenter not both stopping. Fixed an issue where an Ion Pack in the Square was in a location eventually impossible to access. Moved two Ion Cells in the Orrery to make them easier to collect. Made the pillars in the Orrery's boss room convex to…
