- Version 1.15 Patch Notes! - 8 February 2025
Version 1.15 PATCH NOTES - New feature: DOUBLE DAMAGE GEMS. Some large monsters drop them. Deal DOUBLE DAMAGE for 15 seconds! - Improvement to optimization for late game - Fire Wisp radius growth per level down a bit - Lich Bullet color changed to no longer look similar to green XP - Land Mines now deal 20 damage to players
- Version 1.14 patch notes! - 29 January 2025
Version 1.14 - Retuned movement once more, pulled back slightly from last version which was a little bit TOO restrictive i think, made it a tiny bit more slidey and overall a bit faster. - Boost strips more powerful - Poison now ticks much slower but does more damage per tick - Gems will spend less time floating around you and magnetize to you better after a few seconds.
- Version 1.13 - The least "slidey" version yet! - 27 January 2025
Thanks for your feedback everyone - it was pretty clear the more feedback we got that people thought the game was too "slidey" with how the character moves. So now we've made it way more responsive - it's like at least 50% closer to the style of movement you'd find in Vampire Survivors now, but it still maintains the physics (especially for monsters, who are untouched in this way). Let me know what you think of it! Version 1.13 - Reworked movement significantly. You should feel much more in control of your character now. With that comes a boost to boots (5=>12) - Robo Champ gets 20 damage per level down from 25 - It should be impossible now to instantly close the shop upon opening it (which happened in my sister's stream a few times) - May's Phoenix icon was hidden before by the larger health bar. Now it's back, which is nice - Phoenix Icon now darkens, instead of hiding when Phoenix is…
- Version 1.12 Patch Notes! - 26 January 2025
- Sound volume bugs fixed - New ability: POISON TRAIL. Leave a trail of poison!! - Super Armor buffed from 25 -> 40 Armor - Fixed a bug where eyeball bosses were dying when you go too far off screen
- Version 1.11 - now with mouse support :O - 25 January 2025
It's been great getting feedback from everyone. I'm really happy with this patch, so I hope you'll give it a twirl and let me know what you think! - Mouse support! :O Needs testing but so far seems pretty solid. - Buffs to ICE AURA - Zoom and Boom now always explodes when you touch someone, even if you werent going fast. - Fixed some audio saving issues
- Version 1.10 - 25 January 2025
This one is a bigger patch than it looks like, a lot of new sound and visual effects. Beware!!! :D - Roly Poly has been replaced with Zoom and Boom. Move faster and crash into someone to create an explosion! - Lots more fanfare surrounding bosses!! - Your doom baubles no longer push you - Ice Aura is a little bigger
- Patch Notes 1.09 - 25 January 2025
- You can now adjust the volume of music and sound, rather than just toggles - All bosses now have an announcement when they appear. - Dragons now have a little hype sequence, you'll see! - Lance now continues attacking in the last direction you last held - Recalculated lance formula damage slightly (overall a nerf but mostly when moving slow) - Gelf, Maz and Clover's move speed reduced now with the new increased acceleration
- Version 1.08 Patch Notes! - 24 January 2025
Version 1.08 - Movement is once again even MORE responsive! - Ice aura now does a little push outwards at the end of the ability - Ice aura now gets larger per level instead of the timing stuff - Ice aura damage reduced - Ice aura pushes less - Ice aura slow effect is stronger - Made some ui graphics a bit more clear to see - Fixed a bug where the item shop could refresh itself quickly after showing itself a first time - Added text explaining what Scary level is. - When you take shield damage, you now flash blue
- Version 107 Patch Notes! - 23 January 2025
Version 1.07 - Bill buffed. Starts with 500 gold, and gains 3 max hp per coin collected, up from 2. - Level Up screen lets you see your current health (oops) - Move the scary (difficulty) selection from the options screen, to the character select screen. - Other small bugfixes
- Version 1.06 patch notes - 23 January 2025
- NEW FEATURE: Level up screen now has a special "right now bonus" associated with the 3 upgrades. The top slot is always +attack, the middle slot is always +max health, and the bottom slot is always a 30% heal. This means that you always have the potential to heal up a bit, at the cost of stats. It should also help make leveling up decision making a little more interesting. It should also make the game a little easier overall! - NEW WIN FEEDBACK: The game now lets you know when you have 10 seconds left before victory. And it also plays some fanfare effects when you win. - NEW ART: New "chest open animation" from amazing pixel artist Blake Reynolds - Lava Bombs now shoot mostly to your right - Cleaned up tooltips
- Version 1.05 - 23 January 2025
Version 1.05 - Hopefully fixed eyeball damage bug - Reapers spawn way less bats now - Buffed the size of Ice Aura - Tweaked the growth charts of different characters a bit - Flaming yardstick's damage improved slightly
- Version 1.04 patch notes! - 23 January 2025
Version 1.04 - Reverted Stake's behavior to the 1.02 functionality, but also kept it at 2.2 second cooldown. - Stake's base damage modifier reduced from 3 to 1.5. For context, most weapons have a damage modifier of less than 1. - Stake no longer crits - Stake's damage scales a bit better now for later game - Shotgun now stuns enemies.
- Version 1.03 - 22 January 2025
Version 1.03 Overall poor Mazzy is getting a lot of nerfs for this patch, but honestly, she has it comin'. In 1.02 she's way, way too strong, becoming totally unkillable later game. But more important than that even is that Stake has been an ability that you kind of *always* want to take. With this update we make it a lot more of a choice, while still respecting its strengths. - Mazrael passive changed. It now triggers only on large monsters, and you gain 20% of their max health as health. - Mazrael attack damage 60=>50 - Mazrael starting health 80=>70 - Stake can now only hit 1 target per attack. - Stake cooldown decreased from 2.8 seconds to 2.2 seconds. - Eve now highlights orange when her passive is active - May Laser now fires its shots faster per level - A couple small improvements for Steam Deck, which also might fix a bug where the game was going into borderless fullscreen mode…
- Version 1.02 - 22 January 2025
Version 1.02 is our first post-release patch. The game is in a pretty good place overall, but there was one rare crash that has been fixed. Other than that it's just sculpting out some balance stuff here and there, nothing too extreme. Enjoy! Version 1.02 Patch Notes - Item shops now have 2 abilities and 3 equipment instead of 3 and 2 respectively - Mind Knights now always drop a sword (and don't crash the game, that's nice too) - No longer show level 5 upgrade on abilities you already got the level 5 upgrade on - Flaming Yardstick pushing power increased slightly, and damage decreased. This is to help maintain its identity against other abilities. - Fixed incorrect info in Flaming Yardstick's text - Stake cooldown increased from 2.5 seconds to 2.8 seconds. - Game timer should be unified between different areas where it's reported in the app now. - Flames (like green shells) now always…
- You are about to see a scary world... - 21 January 2025
Hey all! I'm super excited to announce that SCARY WORLD, this Vampire-Survivors-Inspired action roguelike game, is coming to Steam on Wednesday! Here's what you need to know: It's kinda like Vampire Survivors - or if you don't know that game, it's like a bullet-heaven action roguelike. That means you go shoot shoot shoot for awhile, collect a bunch of loot, and then when you die everything is re-randomized. I guess it's kinda like playing a super fast, short Diablo on Ironman Mode. Playtime is short! Vampire Survivors match structure by default is 30 minutes, but in this game it's just 10. It is possible to go beyond 10, but stuff gets hard, fast at 10 (and something happens around 20 that you probably won't survive). Crazy physics-y powers! Powers that bounce off of things, that deal more damage the faster you're going, that blast enemies back, and more. The kinds of abilities that you…
