On some machines the game could have some problems launching or having troubles to switch resolutions. Update 1.0.8 should have taken care of very problematic case now. Thanks for your help tracking down these issues.

The last few patches were mostly to fix various issues related to screen resolution and launch problems. Hopefully version 1.0.5 will finally take care of them all but if you still encounter problems here's what to check for: First find the following directory on your computer: Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\HES\Local Store Windows Vista and later C:\Documents and Settings\\AppData\Roaming\HES\Local Store Look for a file named errors.txt and post its content on the forums if there's one. If you don't see the errors.txt file or want more debug info open the settings.txt file and change debug=false to debug=true then restart the game. By setting debug=true a debug.txt file will be created which might contain valuable information to help fix your problem. Post the content of this file on the forum as well.
