- Game production plans and its date - 24 August 2026
A little over 2 months have passed since the release of version 1.100. I didn't actually intend for there to be too long of a break, but compared to how long I have spent working on this game, 2 months isn't that bad. And the break will continue even further as I do not plan on returning to working on the volleyball game for the next two months. My schedule requires me to work on two videos that have a deadline and I can't find any time to squeeze in the volleyball game until those two videos are done. You will have to be patient until then, but then again things seemed to have quieted down since the relaunch. I don't think there is much activity on the game, and this will give me time to prepare. But it won't be on version 2 if you are thinking that. Version 2 is still a long ways from now as I still have version 1 to see too in both development and promotion. I am still trying to figur…
- Looking Ahead After Version 1.100 - 12 July 2026
I'm back after about a month since version 1.100 released. It was a bumpy release as I needed to patch some things during that week, I'd say it was a pretty good relaunch. And no sooner that it was over I did take a break from the game. It will continue to be developed, after all version 1 is only the beginning, but worked on this game for the past 3 years and I wanted to give myself some distance from development, not just as a break but to experience the game in a different view. Because I've been working on it for this long, I've been mostly playing it to test it rather than just enjoy it. I believe that if I take a nice long break and return to the game, then I will have a fresh state of mind. And during this down time, I am also making plans for the future of the game.So I outlined a bit of a roadmap for the continuation of version 1. There's a bit more to do with the game as well…
- Version 1.105i online update, ball drop desync issue addressed - 20 June 2026
Updated online with an extra check. Sometimes when the ball goes under the screen, as in a team scored a point, the game may hang a bit. This is due to desync where 2 or more players are in conflict to where the ball should be going. This new patch added an extra check where if it detects the ball has dropped off screen, it will send the ball's coordinates to the host who will then tell every player's game to set the ball to that player's coordinates. This check also has a system where only one player can send that data to keep multiple games from conflicting.
- Version 1.105f - 18 June 2026
Quick update to further fix the previous bug of the game crashing if you are playing alone and the ball is high in the air.
- Version 1.105e - 18 June 2026
This is a soft patch that fixes two issues: Fixed issue where power ups will no longer appear after playing Basketball mini game. Fixed bug where game would crash during final boss.
- Version 1.105d - 16 June 2026
Patch notes: Fixed issued where 2v2 online would not allow Team A to score when they shot down a player on Team B. Fixed issues with online character select acting strange. Added extra checks for Sakuya's Bomb to fix the game hanging randomly when online. Polished the UI fade when player positions themselves on the bottom of the screen. Minor graphical changes. Online name has been capped.
- Version 1.105c quick patch - 15 June 2026
This quick patch fixes a bug that causes the game to crash whenever you are playing as the only player, such as the Baskeball mini-game. I am still working on a proper update that will fix the 2v2 online Ball Priority 4 setting that causes a team who has lost a player from gaining any points. In the mean time, it is recommended you play online 2v2 with any other Ball Priority.
- Version 1.105b - 14 June 2026

She now shoots 3 bullets at a time and the speed has been slowed down sligthly. Fixed issue where you get a time over message when winning before timer reaches 0. Teams can now play as the same character in local versus. Fixed issue with mood challenge not counting a win. Fixed issue where Lily White, duing time out, would not stop shooting when Youmu uses her Desperation
- Version 1.103 and the ball syncing issue - 11 June 2026
While playing online, you may have noticed at times when the ball falls down to the bottom of the screen, the game hangs for a bit. And sometimes this causes a random decision to who to give a point to. The cause has been discovered that the ball is out of sync in 2 or more players, confusing the game into trying to figure out where the ball should be placed. The random decision to give a point is more of a case of the current player who is sending data setting the record straight and it is their ball position that gets counted, even if the other players saw the ball go into the opposite side. While I am still in the process of rectifying this, this patch has a temporary solution. If this situation comes up and the ball ends up out of sync for multiple players, after a few moments it will reset the ball by placing it in the middle of the playing field. So if you see the ball suddenly ap…
- Version 1.102 - 9 June 2026
Updates on this version: Cirno's Desperation effect can now be chipped by touching a bullet. This means that touching a bullet will decrease the time the effect is in place. Fixed issue of a second Lily White appearing and shooting after time over. Fixed issue of mini game setup appearing in other modes other than Story and Mini Games. Keystones may now randomly give items. Minor text changes. Issue with Reimu getting stuck when using Desperation when the ball is going off screen has been fixed. Fixed issue with characters being locked in online mode after reaching round 2 of the story mode. Fixed issue with score not resetting after using credit without getting a high score.
- Game should be running now - 9 June 2026
The latest update had issue that caused it to not run. I rolled it to the previous version so the game should run fine now. I apologize deeply for this inconvenience and will be more careful in testing the files moving forward.

- Version 1.100 release notes - 7 June 2026
And here it is, my friends, the anticipated version 1.100, the definitive version 1 of the game. The original release of the game had much to be desired and I spent nearly a year developing the game to a satisfactory state. It includes so many features I wanted to add from the very beginning such as the much wanted arcade mode, more mini-games, and the biggest one of all: online matchmaking. I'll briefly go through all these and more, but first, let us look at some of the more major changes in the patch notes.GeneralMore items to buy on the store in the story campaign.Fixed issue where Marisa's warning laser pointed the opposite way when near the center line.Fixed issue where player does not control CPU partner after their character is killed by Youmu's desperation. Some backgrounds redrawn.New gimmick stage, Asama Mountain.GameplayNew move added: The Top Drop. - What to expect in the upcoming version 1.100 - 23 February 2026
Version 1.100 continues its progress and I know it's been a while since the last update. So I'm going let you guys in on what has been happening in the development side of the game. This is a supplement to the online journal entry, so if you want more in-depth information, you should check out the Compact Touhou reddit profile for the latest journal entry.OnlineOnline was put aside since the start of January to concentrate on the other aspects of the game such as the addition of extra modes. It wasn't until recently, like a week or two ago, that I have returned to complete it. To my surprise, online seems to be nearly done. What I figured would require another month or maybe two just needed a few weeks of work. However, there's only so much I can do by myself. Even with multiple computers, the best way to test online is with others in different parts of the world. That is why as of post…
