A declassified program falls into your hands. The depth of its simulation is impressive, but there is still much to be uncovered. Master a true-to-life aiming and weapon manipulation system as you complete tests for the program and its inhabitants. Marshal over 1,200 attachments and cartridge types to hit impossible targets. Try not to think too hard about what this all might be for. The finest minds of MK Lab VI produced a ballistics simulation of unparalleled depth and complexity. Charge mass, bullet profile, and barrel length combine to produce velocity. Gravity, wind, Coriolis and Magnus effects, temperature and air humidity work their influence on trajectory. Bullets tumble through the air as they dip below the sound barrier and shatter upon impact into simulated shards. Recoil spreads from receiver to stock to grip and into the hands depending on their position. Sublime mathematics climax in a simulated streak of lead. To over a dozen base firearms can be attached stocks, triggers, grips, sights, scopes, handles, bolts, barrels, hammers, cylinders, red dots, lasers, silencers, and more. Over 1000 parts at your disposal, and each affects weapon balance, ergonomics, and handling. True connoisseurs may select a canteen stock as a front sight, six stacked laser pointers, and other more idiosyncratic customisations. In the range, choose from over 200 cartridge types from homemade buckshot to state-of-the-art experimental munitions. Prepare each magazine and loadout round-by-round for the perfect mix. The glow of the screen is no barrier to weapon handling. Master an innovative WASD + mouse control system to feel weight, ergonomics, breath and stance directly. Manually load rounds, operate safeties, switches and slides as you master a growing arsenal of firearms. Proceed with the tests. Who knows why the work must be done? You know only that you must do it. Assess weapons, attachments, rounds and ranges. Hit the targets, whatever the targets are. The inhabitants of the program have requests for you too, and could prove more challenging.
