Hey everyone! Thanks so much for your patience on this one - we finally have an update! This one focuses on fixes but has a few new features and QOL updates in it too. Lots more to come! NEW FEATURESSave slot picker: If more than one save is found you're asked which one to use; this should fix the lost progress issue. Controller invert options: Invert camera horizontal, invert camera vertical, invert movement horizontal and invert movement vertical are now available in Settings. Ban notices: If you've been banned, the game now tells you why and when the ban lifts. Fish data has been reworked and fish prices updated. Offline mode: If you have no internet, can't reach online services, or your account can't play online, you can now keep playing offline. 100,000!?!?CRAZY! Thank you everyone for playing. It means the world to me that I have the support to continue making games full time off of my first game on Steam. It’s a dream to reach this large of a number, and you all made it happen in 5 days. The Triple-i Initiative is gonna be back on April 9th at 9am PT/6pm CET, and I'm excited to share that Sledding Game will be revealing something cool there! The show is a bunch of back-to-back trailers of games all contained within a nice 45 minutes. So, I have some some good news and some bad news….Unfortunately, the Sledding Game demo will not be part of Next Fest. I know, very sad.Since the demo has been out, and after getting SO MUCH valuable feedback, I’ve realized there are a few things I want to polish before making the demo public again. Some fun gameplay stuff, and some less fun behind-the-scenes things that’ll make everything much smoother and way more stable for the long run. The timeline just didn't end up working the way I wanted it to and to anyone who was looking forward to it, I'm really sorry and working hard on the fixes. - The past month (and the next) - 28 February 2025
This past month, as I mentioned in the subtitle, has felt like I haven't been getting as much done as I should. There are a few reasons for that, but at the same time, I still see it as forward progress. After putting out all my initial content in December/January, I had a surprising number of companies reach out about things like publishing, localization, art, sound design...etc. A big part of what I enjoy in game development is actually doing a lot of those things myself. Sure, some of them can be tedious, but they’re all part of the process. Since I'm still new to the industry, I also wanted to take the time to learn about these different services, which meant sitting down for calls with every single person who reached out.
