- Patch Notes - v0.5.8 (Demo) - Next Fest Patch #2 - 1 March 2026
NEW HERO^To celebrate the end of Next Fest, we’re bringing out our first new hero: Space Ace - The Spaceman. To select him, press 1 or 2 on the keyboard or the D-Pad on controller before starting the game. We also made a lot of improvements for multiplayer stability and general QOL.We learned a ton during Next Fest and we can’t thank you enough for everyone who took the time to email us, share thoughts, and tell us what the game needs. If you ever want to spitball ideas, you can always reach us through email. We’re going to keep patching the demo like it’s an Early Access release, and we hope you keep playing and letting us know if we’re doing your ideas justice. Our release goal is still aimed at March but we’re giving ourselves a tiny bit of extra time to bring the game into the true Nonsense and whacky state you all expect. We’ll keep you updated.^^Thank you so much to the thousands o…

TURRET PERMA DEATH REMOVED!^We’ve been truly humbled by the amount of feedback we received on day one of Next Fest. The best part is that you were honest, even if that meant it wasn’t all positive. Over the last 2 days, we pushed hard to get as much of that feedback into the game as possible.A really big shout out to everyone who submitted a feedback form. We read every single one and we’ll respond to everyone who left their email. As more feedback comes in, we’ll keep pushing updates throughout the week. We really hope you enjoy this patch. NEXT FEST IS HERE!^With Next Fest finally here, we wanted to first say thank you to everyone who has given feedback and played our game. It means a ton to us. This patch is pretty large so we'll keep it short and sweet. We have quite a few new features for you like reviving battle units, healing between waves, a ton of balance changes, quality of life improvements, new sounds, new FX, new UI, and the beginning of controller support + some other changes here and there. As more and more feedback rolls in, we'll continue to add to and adjust the gameplay, squash bugs, and build a better experience. We really hope you enjoy your time with this patch. A big big thank you for playing our game and keep an eye out for more updates this week and leading up to release.^^Patch Notes - Demo v0.5.6HighlightsThis patch is big so we'll give you the highlights just in case.Reviving Battle Soldiers and…
- Patch Notes - v0.5.5 (Demo) - Balance & Fixes Update - 17 February 2026
Nerf Hammer & Buff Hammer^While the game is building into a more solid state, it’s really important that we keep a close eye on balance. It can be demoralizing to see a run fail due to a group of tanky trees and a streak of bad luck upgrade-wise, so we’re fixing that. We’re also fixing a lot of bugs and adding more gold to the economy. We also want you to feel stronger, so we’re improving defenses by a lot and giving them small heals in between each wave. Next patch, you can expect your units to revive after a failed wave.^ We’re also making sure you receive an upgrade every wave. This should make each wave feel more rewarding.Next week, expect a bigger level with 2 lanes and, with any luck, a new hero.^ We look forward to seeing you at Next Fest.^ And thank you so much for playing our game.^^Patch Notes - Demo v0.5.5NewDefenses Heal Between WavesWhile this is just a stopgap for next wee…
- Patch Notes - v0.5.4 (Demo) - Major Update - 9 February 2026
Upgrades, Upgrades, Upgrades^We received a lot of feedback, and the most asked-for feature was making each defense upgradeable. When you were playing previously, it didn’t feel like a defense was special. Soldiers felt expendable and were being purchased as fodder, and that isn’t super great. So with this patch, we’ve done a massive overhaul, making all defenses upgradeable and giving them multiple levels. We’re also introducing a new defense called the Swinging Battle Axe. Everything is still just as movable and just as placeable as before. The defenses aren’t just upgradeable stat wise, they also change looks, from battle soldiers sporting new weapons and armor, to turrets gaining more turrets. We fixed a lot of bugs and we’ll keep patching weekly. This one is a pretty big update, so it took about two weeks to implement. Thanks for sticking with us as we approach Next Fest.^ And thank yo…
- Patch Notes - v0.5.3 (Demo) + New Discord! - 22 January 2026
New Discord & Youtube^A dream we’ve always had is someone playing our game, talking through their playthrough, and posting it to YouTube. A YouTuber named Yig actually did that, and it was one of the coolest (and most stressful) things we’ve experienced. Watching someone play your game and talk about it in real time is somehow scarier than receiving feedback after the fact. We just wanted to take a moment and give a really big and special thanks to him. He actually showed people how to start our game after figuring it out himself, which was amazing and we couldn’t be more grateful. Before we move on to the patch notes, we also want to mention that we have a new Discord ready for everyone. You can speak directly to us and let us know what you think of the game, what you want to see, and what you don’t. We’ll try to be quick with our responses as well.Discord LinkNow we can talk about the…
- Patch Notes - v0.5.2 (Demo) + 1000 PLAYERS! - 10 January 2026
1000 PLAYERS!^A major thank you to everyone who has taken the time to download and play the demo already. We didn't expect so many people would join us so quickly on our journey to full release but we couldn't be more grateful. Thank you as well to everyone who left feedback and wishlisted the game. It lets us know we are doing at least something right. But we should still talk about what’s wrong and what this patch fixes. When developing, we tend to forget that we know everything about this game and it makes it really easy to miss very key elements... like how to actually start the waves. A few hundred of you figured it out, and we really appreciate that, but it wasn't clear at all. So we're fixing that with this patch plus a lot of other things. Thank you so much for being so patient. If you like the demo, be sure to come back often. We'll continue to patch it with new features as we…
- Patch Notes - v0.5.1 (Demo Live) - 8 January 2026
Demo Officially Released.^Thank you so much for being so patient. We initially planned to release the demo last week but the holidays slowed down the review process. It's finally approved and live right now. This second patch improves a lot of game mechanics and fixes a lot of issues. We also get to introduce a tanky enemy called the Treant. He doesn't attack you but he can definitely take a hit or two. We also made the game a bit more fair for players and enemies in fixing their projectiles going through walls. We are really excited for you to try the game and we can't wait to hear what you think of it. If you do have a moment after playing, definitely let us know what you'd like to see in future updates and what didn't really feel great for you. Thank you again and we hope you enjoy our game.^ Patch Notes - Demo v0.5.1NewEnemiesOur new enemy is a tanky little guy that can’t be aggroed…
- Patch Notes - v0.5.0 (Demo) - 28 December 2025
Finally! We made it.^Thank you so much for being here with us as we release our demo and first official patch for it. It includes a lot of co-op and UI improvements (especially for Player 2), new UI screens, a ton of new VFX, more waves, new enemy types, new 3D models, and a lot of fixes. This will be the first patch of many as we prepare for our Early Access release. We plan to upgrade and expand the game in every way we can. If you do have a chance to play the demo and you have an extra moment, be sure to let us know what you'd like to see in future updates and what didn't really feel great for you. We really want to know if we are on the right track. Thank you again and we hope you enjoy our game.^ Patch Notes - Demo v0.5.0These patch notes cover all of the changes that were made in the last week. We are excited for you to try them out.^ NewVFXWe'll continue to improve our particles…
