• Step Right Up: Welcome to the Neon Fairground - 8 September 2026

  Here’s a look at a community level we’ve put together to put the upcoming Hyphen Level Editor through it's paces — a neon lit fairground packed with glowing rides, signs and plenty of colour. All created within the editor itself. The video is mainly a showcase of the level, but there’s also a quick glimpse behind the scenes at the Hyphen Level Editor. We’re keeping exact details of the editor under wraps for a little longer as we're still rapidly iterating over it's final form and beta testing it, but expect to see plenty more of what it can do soon!

  A few days ago we announced that Hyphen would be returning to Steam. Well... it's official.Hyphen is back on Steam and available to purchase again!It's been a very long time since new players were able to pick up the game, so it feels a little strange (but very exciting) to finally see that purchase button back on the store page. Over the years we've had messages from people asking where Hyphen went, whether it would ever come back, and if there was still any way to play it. • Hyphen is Returning to Steam! - 7 August 2026

  We're pleased to announce that Hyphen is returning to Steam. Over the years we've received many messages asking if the game would ever be available again. The answer is yes. While the store page isn't live for new customers just yet, we've been working behind the scenes to ensure Hyphen is ready for modern systems before it returns. Existing customers may have noticed an update to the game today (07/08/2026). This update focuses on improving compatibility and bringing Hyphen up to modern standards, while preserving the original gameplay experience. • Hyphen is now for Linux too! - 30 July 2015

  Thanks to the awesome FNA project we have ported Hyphen to Linux! The game is pretty much exactly the same as the Windows counterpart minus a couple of tweaks we needed to do for graphical compatibility and audio. Enjoy, and we're pleased to be on Linux!

• Death Leaderboard - 8 March 2015

  Hyphen now has a Deaths leaderboard (not in game just in the Steam client for the time being). Not many people are on it yet as it we've pushed an update and it requires you to launch the updated version of the game and die to get your deathcount on the leaderboard. • Global Death counter! - 13 February 2015

  We've added a global death counter to the main Hyphen page on our website http://www.farspacestudios.com/games/hyphen/ just for kicks. It shows how many times everyone who owns Hyphen on Steam combined has died in game in real time. It's at over 12k deaths already in the short time that Hyphen has been live!
