- Update About the Future of the Game - 7 July 2026
Hi everyone,At some point during development, I realized that I had taken on a much bigger project than I could realistically finish on my own (This was my 1st project on Unity). Like many solo developers, I eventually had to choose between continuing full-time development and earning a living. Unfortunately, paying the bills had to come first.I'm fully aware of the game's shortcomings, and I still see its potential. I believe it could become a much stronger experience with additional game modes and a more focused gameplay loop. However, I can't commit to that work right now, so development is being put on hold for an indefinite period.Because of that, I don't feel it's right to continue charging money for the game in its current early alpha state. That's why I'll be making it free to play, so anyone who's curious can try it.I'd like to thank everyone who supported the project, gave fee…
- Update 1.4.7: Optimization, Gunplay, Zombie Behavior - 7 April 2025
This update focuses on performance improvements Many players reported performance issues, so I worked on optimizing the game. It should now run smoothly even on low-end systems. For example, during testing on my 7-year-old laptop (with one fan disconnected and the GTX 1050 disabled), the game held a stable 60 FPS at start and goes worse with 200+ zombies lurking on the map. Weapon recoil and kickback now have proper visual feedback, making gunplay feel more responsive and satisfying. Zombies can now spawn not only in underground areas but also on the surface. They will start chasing contractors only after visually spotting them at a close enough distance. I’ve also added turning animations, so their movements look more natural when they react. The muzzle flashes on weapons has been reduced to avoid possible discomfort for light-sensitive players. M-pistol firing sounds was adjusted and…
- Roughly Access to ZOMBIEFIELD - 25 March 2025
Welcome In the Field! First of all, a big thank you to everyone for showing interest in the project! While it’s still a bit rough around the edges, that’s how great things start. As we all know, a community creates great games, and this project has the same goals. I’m truly excited to finally share what I’ve been working on, paying attention to even the smallest details. The game is friendly to solo players, but the real magic happens when you team up with others. Playing with a team of 4 is where the game truly shines, though changes, like expanding the group to 5, are possible as development progresses and the community provides feedback. In upcoming updates, I’m planning to add new zombie types, scattered bodies for atmosphere, new animations, and more props throughout the maze. Every new zombie type will come with its own achievement. I’m also considering introducing sub-contracts t…
