It's been 2 and a half years since Social Justice Warriors was released and unfortunately the game is more relevant than ever. Online discourse has only become more combative as the divisions between ideological groups have widened further. In response, I've released a remastered edition of Social Justice Warriors that adds clickable buttons and mouse support, improves text scaling to support higher resolutions, and renames the Patience health meter to better represent the intended meaning. This free update also fixes a number of gameplay bugs and adds an in-game Options menu, a postgame recap, and online leaderboards. I hope that playing Social Justice Warriors gives you a lot to think about. Good luck out there!

This week marks one-year after the original release of Social Justice Warriors. I made the game in April 2014 after seeing an image circulating that said to ignore what a group of people had to say because they were "social justice warriors." Since I saw the increasingly frequent back and forth online arguments as two people dueling on the ramparts, I translated it into the form of a videogame to make people on both sides take a look at why they do it from the simplified perspective of gameplay mechanics. I hoped that the use of dismissive labels "social justice warrior" and "troll" would make people reflect on why using these terms makes it easier to fight someone. I hoped that people would relate their videogame memories of the frantic desperation of a low health bar to the Sanity and Reputation meters and understand how demoralizing and destroying other people affects them. Good news, warriors and trolls! Achievements are now fully functional. Thanks for allowing a few days to get everything up and running. http://www.nonadecimal.com/staging/SJW/winsomeidol.png This is my first Steam release so there was a lot to learn very quickly to release the game in the few weeks between PAX South and PAX East. Remember, if you encounter any bugs or technical problems, you can report them in the Technical Support discussion thread with steps to reproduce and the OS you're using and receive notification when it's been resolved. Meanwhile, I will be fixing some small issues and adding new content to expand the current warrior and troll repertoire of: 30 player attacks with more than 500 lines of dialog more than 8 trolls wielding over 300 specialized attacks, totalling more than 1100 lines of dialog That's more variety than most real life arguments!
