  Called Underworld, version 1.2 of The Junkyard arrived today, October 27, and marks much more than an update; it symbolizes a new phase in the game's development. Underworld marks one year since the start of The Junkyard's development, and it also arrives on an important date for horror games: Halloween.Because of these factors, we've made a big change to the game: the map, something that players have been asking for and that also gives The Junkyard its identity. This is just the first of many updates focused on map content and the addition of unique items and enemies. • The Junkyard: Patch 1.1.2 Details - 2 September 2025

  This patch is a mix of optimization and visual enhancements, adding post-processing and a new type of lighting that is more optimized and realistic. Update details:Optimization and Lighting:If the player moves far enough away to no longer see them, objects disappear;New lighting system, more realistic and optimized, and also fixes some lighting-related bugs;Post-Processing:Addition of Post-Processing, with different post-processing profiles for each scenario and a specific profile for Night Vision;Due to the addition of Post-Processing, some materials and some lights have been changed;Settings:Addition of the option to turn post-processing on/off;Minimum FPS limit reduced from 60 FPS to 30 FPS;

  Version 1.1.0.1 of The Junkyard arrives under the name ‘Help System Update’. This update adds a help system with a quick and simple tutorial to demonstrate the controls and mechanics of The Junkyard. We've opted to keep the tutorial in both new and old Saves, as this allows old and new players to understand all the main mechanics and get the most out of The Junkyard.

• Light & Power Update - 1 June 2025

  The Light & Power Update, version 1.1.0.0 of The Junkyard, brings significant changes to gameplay in the rusty tunnels. The entire game has been adapted to support torch systems (equipment), with two types: the head torch and the night vision goggles. These adaptations range from changes to the inventory to the save system. The torch brings an extra immersion to the rusty tunnels. It's now possible to get completely lost in the dark, so be careful and manage your batteries well. To toggle the torch use and to toggle night vision use . Batteries are used to power equipment and have a limited lifespan, which, when they run out, renders them useless.
