An update patch for Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection aimed at fixing bugs and improving functionality has gone live today. This update patch includes fixes for various bugs that have been observed since launch. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to those affected. In addition, we have implemented an option in controller settings that allows players to swap the confirm and cancel buttons in order to provide a play experience closer to that of the original version. Players are advised to download and install the latest version before continuing to play. Please Note: Updating to the latest version is required to access certain online features.

Getting a chance to review the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection was quite a treat for me. As I said in my preview of the collection, despite genuinely loving Mega Man Battle Network on the Game Boy Advance, I was genuinely unaware that the series had received something of a spiritual successor. In my defence, this may have been around the time I was rediscovering the original Mega Man on the Wii’s Virtual Console. Like many of these collection packs, it’s genuinely nice to go back and revisit these classic games—overlooked or otherwise—in a convenient package that faithfully delivers the original experience while offering players a plethora of bonus materials to really celebrate its legacy.
