- Devlog #07: Features Featured in DreadOut 3 - Irisphone Pt. 2 - 30 September 2026
Well, well, well, here we are again, Keepers. Can you guys believe that we’re like 3 months away from 2027????? At this point, we feel like time no longer flies; it’s practically teleporting from one year to another in a blink of an eye, no?With that aside, we think this last quarter will be a very busy one (maybe even the busiest), with many great games releasing SO soon, including the new Castlevania, Phantom Blade Zero, The Legend of Zelda™: Ocarina of Time, and we hope you’re excited to be a maling mobil (a.k.a. car thief ) if you have pre-ordered ✨THE✨ GTA VI. RIP wallet :( But we hope things are going well for everyone, even if it’s just a few things at a time. Also, let us know which one you guys are considering buying! Sooo, anyway, let’s get back on track talking about DreadOut 3. You know, we’re currently still cooking the gameplay in DreadOut 3, it’s in the works. We saw some…
- Devlog #06 - Designing Linda's Enemies Pt.1: Kuntilanak - 31 August 2026
Welcome back, fellow keepers! How’s it going? Our country was just celebrating the independence day recently, but the best thing about that is: it’s a public holiday! So we all had a nice little break (again) to wind down. It was nice since some people at our office were taking turns catching cold :( BUT we hope every one of you has been doing okie!Well, now you read the title, we’re gonna talk ghostiessss~~ But before we talk about it, let’s see the bigger picture on what kind of ghosts we’d like to put on your screen in DreadOut 3?In DreadOut 3, besides our intention to create ghosts as Linda’s enemies, we also want it to somehow become an embodiment of the culture we coexist with. That’s why we feel like going back to the Indonesian folklores, urban legends, and local beliefs. And if there’s one figure inextricably intertwined with Indonesian supernatural entities, it’s undoubtedly Ku…
- Devlog #05 – Audio & Music, Part 1: Giving Dread a Heartbeat with the Horror Box - 31 July 2026
Great to see you again, fellow keepers. Welcome to another dev log! Before we jump into the development update, here’s a little behind-the-scenes moment: We celebrated our boss’ birthday just yesterday! 🎉🎉 It was a really nice chance for the team to take a pause and celebrate good times. Since (almost) all we did yesterday was eating cake and hot dogs our boss cooked for everyone! Now, with the celebrations wrapped up, let's jump into what we've been working on. Like every horror game ever, it has to own a soul; whether it’s given or stolen. In DreadOut, we believe sounds, audio, music, or whatever you can hear are powerful and highly possible to embody a soul. When it's done right, it would turn to terrors that crawl from your ears to your chest before your eyes could ever recognise what’s in front of you. So, for the scoring in Dreadout 3, we work together with some cool guys from E…
- Devlog #04 - Environment Concept & Design Pt. 1: The Horror that Lives in Spaces - 26 June 2026
Greetings, fellow keepers of the dark! We meet again! In the last few updates, we’ve hinted (pretty obviously) that investigations will play a big role in DreadOut 3. And it turns out, when we started thinking about how investigations would work, we also started thinking about the spaces that would surround them. When we talk about horror, most of the attention usually immediately turns to what’s or what lurks within the place. Because in many cases, the sense of unease, unsettling, doesn't just come from what we are searching for. Sometimes we think the places we go to feel wrong even before anything happens. And that’s what we want to capture. Claustrophobia is CulturalWe find how interesting a space can be, especially in horror games or films. The uncomfortable feeling won't always come from a place full of splattered blood, bones, bodies, or demonic ritual altars that would make you…

- Devlog #03: Features Featured in DreadOut 3 - Irisphone Pt. 1 - 28 February 2026
The Irisphone is soooo back! Probably some of you have noticed that in several DreadOut 3 videos we released since the first announcement last year (May 2025), Linda's phone is playing a significant role as ever. Though in the second series, there's a melee weapon (axe) she used to fight certain ghosts, in this third one, we want to bring back the Irisphone to where it belongs. Talking about Linda’s phone, we definitely heard some of you saying the phone doesn't make any sense coz its battery never died or was never out of power, but what makes sense in Linda's life anymore, right? Jk. We have a line of explanation for that. But first, let’s talk about the irisphone in the previous series. Irisphone in DreadOut 2 Irisphone visual in DreadOut 2 Let's take a quick look back at the Irisphone in DreadOut 2. The phone's camera interface appeared clean, uncluttered, and functional, but becaus…
- Devlog #02: Welcome Back, Linda! Pt. 1 - 27 January 2026
Determining Linda's PositionAs we began discussing this Devlog, we returned to something that felt fundamental yet sensitive: Linda Meilinda's current position. Beyond where and who Linda is, the story continues, also within our own development process. We realized early on that Linda in DreadOut 3 couldn't be treated as a "reintroduced" character. Because, as we all are aware, she'd already seen and been through too much. She'd endured betrayal, loss, and guilt in the previous two prequels. So our first step wasn't to redesign her appearance, but rather to map out her mental and emotional state. Final 3D Model Linda in DreadOut 1 (front) and DreadOut 2 (back)From those early discussions, we finally envisioned Linda as someone who had realized her power but wasn't comfortable with it, recognizing how big the responsibility is. This realization came with exhaustion rather than confidence…
