  • Next Fest Summary and Big Demo Bug Fixes - 21 June 2025

Next Fest was real awesome because wishlists were doubled. That's great! What is not so great is that out of 45 or so people that tried the demo, only 3 of them wishlisted the game. I was like "Woah, that's less than 10%, not good!". I'm sure some were put off by the visuals and clunky mechanics or whatever, but it had to be more than that. At some point I made a core change to the code that runs during games that effects all transitions at the end of turns. I clearly should have play-tested the demo more, because the result was some AI players totally bugging out in the middle of their turns, resulting in concurrent turns with other AI characters and a cascade of "End Turn" commands. This should all be fixed now, but what a bummer that I missed it before Next Fest. The demo should be more playable now.Currently finishing up the single player campaign. Then I'll either be polishing/bala…

  • Next Fest Activity - 10 June 2025

Just wanted to thank anyone who played the demo, will play the demo, or just looked at this page. It's a silly little game that I would be super pumped about if even a dozen people ended up playing it. I'm finishing the single player campaign as I type this, and in the few months leading to the September release I'm hoping to play test and fix bugs, balance the campaign (too easy right now), implement Steam Achievements, and hopefully get multiplayer working. Is that too much for a father of two with a full time job to do in less than three months? Yes. Let's try anyway.I appreciate any feedback, even if it's to tell me my game is ugly and I don't have any friends and that maybe if I tried harder you wouldn't have to step in and help me with everything, alright bye!

  • Final Demo (probably) Release Just in Time for NextFest - 21 May 2025
