- 0.15.14 - Collision Fix - 13 September 2026
Bandaid fix for the issue where you clip through blocks rarely. Technical explanation: it occurs when you are in a positive coordinate for an axis. You walk towards a block at x or z 0 and release the W key before touching the block. This causes the movement interpolation to perfectly align you with the EXACT edge of the block. Kind of like finding the limit of a slope in calculus. Due to some weirdness at the 0,-0 boundary this causes the collision check to fail and allows you to walk straight though after being aligned. I say I have done a bandaid fix because I was able to solve it by not allowing the movement intepolation to use infinitely small values, instead being capped at a length of 0.01. This does mean the bug technically remains but the likelyhood of it occuring is extremely, extremely rare. The setup I was using to replicate the issue no-longer works. Fixed a bug where you c…

- Week 1 Recap & Discussion - 6 September 2026
Hey everyone! RecapIt's been just over a week now since Allumeria launched and hit early access. Thank you all, so, so much for the positive response. It's been incredible to see people playing and having fun. It feels vindicating, feeling like my choice to make this project has been validated. I have been very active in the Discord and the discussion forums, trying to figure out what things need work, finding bugs to fix etc, and there's some repeat questions I find myself answering, so wanted to make a post to catch everyone up to the same page about why I made the game the way I did, and what I plan to do in the future now that the game is out. How did the game actually perform? As of writing the game has sold just under 13k copies. This is awesome! My goal was to hit 10k copies sold in the first week and the game hit that figure just in time. What this means for the gameWhile 13k cop…

- 0.15.1 - Melon pls fix - 29 August 2026
Hey everyone! First patch since Allumeria Early Access went live. Thank you so, so much for your support. I've been reading all of the bug reports, discussion posts, feedback, and reviews, and I've started compiling a big list of things that need to be working on/improved. Today I wanted to get a bunch of the low hanging fruit out of the way as fast as possible. The main thing that needs work that isn't on this list is the NPC system. I've been seeing people with NPC's that are not correctly detecting rooms or duplicate NPC's appearing. Will work on fixing this ASAP. For now, these are the changes in 0.15.1: - Attempted to fix the crash that happens occasionally when breaking blocks on some machines. I haven't been able to replicate it, but added a try/catch around the problem area as a temporary fix. - Fixed fullscreen state resetting when exiting settings menu - Exiting fullscreen fro…

- Release Date Announcement - 13 August 2026
Hey everyone, I have exciting news to share! Allumeria Early Access is releasing August 28th!New TrailerIt's been a long road to release, but things have finally come together and I can confidently state that everything is ready to go for release! I've released a brand new trailer to commemorate the occasion: PricingAllumeria will be priced at $12 for the Early Access version. There will also be a 20% launch discount, so you only pay $9.60 if you pick it up within the first two weeks. I have also applied "purchasing power" based regional pricing, so in many places you will be able to pick it up even cheaper. I want Allumeria to be affordable, so I've tried to price it very low. What is Infinimelon? In other news, I have successfully started a company that I will be releasing the game through. It's called Infinimelon. You will see most mentions of "Unomelon" being replaced with Infinimelo…
- Progress Update - Devlog Video - 13 June 2026
Hey everyone! It's been a while since the last news update, so I wanted to catch everyone up on the state of the game's development. Devlog VideoThis time I wanted to create it in video format so you can get an even more detailed look at the game, and perhaps listen to it while you do something else. Keep in mind this is describing an update that is not out yet. I will discuss Early Access in a bit.Check it out here:I will probably be posting some more videos in the lead up to Early Access, so make sure to subscribe if you wanna catch these when they are out.Video TLDRAs a TLDR, 0.15, the version that will be released as the Early Access build (for money), is close to being done. I don't provide a timeline in the video, and I won't provide one here either, but you will be able to get your hands on this sooner rather than later. To break it down further, here's some dot points:Now: You c…
- Progress Update - Plans for Early Access - 21 April 2026
Hey everyone!I wanted to write up a post detailing what I've been working on the past month, now that updates to the demo have slowed down. Release Date?I'll front-load this with some information you probably want to hear the most, and that's when Allumeria will release (into early access). And right now, I do not have a clear date set. I want to make sure that the early access release still stands on its own as a solid game. So, I want to make sure it has a good amount of content and features that people would expect. I am almost certain it will not take more than a few months to finish this, but the plan is to only announce a date once all the content is done and I am just working on bugfixing and polish, as I want to avoid announcing and then delaying.Planned FeaturesI want to provide a TLDR, high level overview of what you can expect from this release. (0.15) For early access, I wan…
- 0.14.3 - Asset Packs - 6 March 2026
0.14.3 - Asset PacksHey everyone! 0.14.3 is out today. Originally this was meant to be a purely technical update. The game's texture system needed an update badly. It was still using a single atlas for terrain textures, which makes it difficult to create models and near impossible for modders to add their own block and item textures. This has now been solved, and it should be very easy for modders to add new textures to the game. As an added bonus, I decided to spend some extra time implementing an asset pack system that allows you to swap out the game's assets with your own. More details below! Asset PacksAsset packs can modify textures, sounds, entity models, and even structures. Multiple asset packs can be used at once, they can be enabled/disabled and the priority can be changed.Unfortunately you do have to restart the game for changes to take effect, the engine needs some more work…
- 0.14 - Brand New Terrain - 23 February 2026
Hey everyone!Next FestAllumeria is Participating in Steam Next Fest Feb 2026!Now is a great opportunity to check out the game with a brand new update going into Next Fest. The festival lasts just over a week and it's an opportunity to help get more players interested in Allumeria! https://store.steampowered.com/sale/nextfest0.14New Terrain GeneratorAllumeria has now switched from 2D noise to 3D noise. This means the terrain can be way more varied, complex and interesting. I tried to strike a balance between flat areas, mountainous areas and areas where the generator is allowed to go crazy, like in the screenshot pictured above. The full version of the game also now has a bunch of extra world presets so you can have things like floating islands or extremely dense, mountainous terrain.Alongside the new generator I also added a new glowing blue flower, the Myosotis, and hanging vines and f…

I would like to add more random chance items like this in the future.PVP ToggleAdded a PVP toggle to the cheats menu. This doesn't show in the demo, so I still need to create an override that allows access to it. For now, melee PVP is disabled by default.World GenerationSli…
- 0.13.1 - There is no Spoon - 13 February 2026
Hey everyone! We are so backThis is the first update after the game got temporarily taken down. After taking a day to rest, I have started working on the game again. This is a minor update that contains some of the fixes I planned to push out a few days ago, before plans changed. Oh well. Jelly spoons can now be found in dungeon chests, as well as the drop rate being increased a little bit from enemies. I would recommend generating a new world, raiding the dungeon there, and bringing the loot back to your main world. 0.13.1AdditionsAdded a new command, /genwikiThis command generates a very basic wiki page that opens in your browser. It provides a list of Every item in the gameEvery recipe in the gameEvery loot table in the gameIt also automatically generates named png icons of every item. My hope is that this will make it easier for wiki maintainers to get information in bulk. It's not…
