- Vale's Echo Demo Small Update & Bug Fixes - 20 May 2026
Hello folks!Thanks y’all for playing our demo, and especially for reporting all those nasty bugs!With your help, we caught a bunch of them, and hopefully they won’t bother you or any new players anymore.Here’s what changed and got fixed: Fixed cutscenes not showing up on Steam Deck.Fixed the ‘ESC’ key not working at the message board later in the game.Added new music bits to the Bloodlock level.Adjusted and added new sounds in some parts of the game.Fixed some grammar mistakes in dialogues.Updated the last puzzle to make it a bit clearer.Fixed dialogue bubbles not disappearing when the player used an item from the inventory.Fixed (hopefully) the Echo control bug in the vents.Fixed the wrong input icon for standing up (when using a PlayStation controller) at the very start of the game.Many small adjustments and fixes.There are still a few things we’re working on, but hopefully those will…

Thanks to all your feedback from the playtest, we’ve been hard at work iterating and improving the demo. We thank you for all the help, and we’re beyond excited for you to jump back into the underworld.What can you expect in the demo?If you played through the entire playtest - don’t worry, there’s plenty waiting for you. We highly recommend replaying the upcoming demo and revisiting all its levels. We’ve updated, fixed, and expanded existing content. And the most exciting part? We’ve added a brand-new level for you to explore!When?We’re still deep in polishing and bug-fixing to make sure you get the smoothest experience possible. PLAYTEST RESULTS & WHAT’S NEXTHo Ho Ho there passengers! 410 lost souls descended into the underworld and joined our playtest!The median playtime was 35 minutes, which is the full length of the playtest. Seeing so many of you stay until the very end means absolutely everything, and we’re very excited about the reception so far.The playtest will remain available until January 1st, 2026. After that, we’ll be diving straight into work on our public demo. Thanks to your insights and suggestions, we can iterate, improve, and make the demo even better.In the meantime, make sure to join our DISCORD community!
