- Speed, Mobility, and Support: The T-20 in Victory Banner - 22 July 2026
Hello everyone!I'm continuing to introduce the vehicles that will soon arrive on the battlefields of Victory Banner. Today, let's take a look at another piece of Soviet light armored equipment — the T-20 "Komsomolets" armored tractor.A brief historyDeveloped in the late 1930s, the T-20 was designed to transport infantry and tow field guns, such as the famous 45 mm anti-tank gun ("Sorokapyatka") close to the front line. Its compact size, excellent cross-country mobility, and reliability made it an indispensable workhorse for the Red Army under even the harshest conditions. The "Komsomolets" could carry up to six infantrymen on its armored hull, serving as a fast and compact transport. Despite its small size, it was protected by 7–10 mm of armor and armed with a hull-mounted DT tank machine gun in a ball mount, giving it a fighting chance when the situation demanded it.On the game battlefi…
- Small Tank, Big Mission: The T-38 Joins Victory Banner - 8 July 2026
Hello everyone!Development is moving forward at full speed, and with more and more content coming into the game, I'd like to start giving you a closer look at what you'll soon be able to command on the battlefield. Let's begin with the vehicles.Today, we're introducing the T-38 — a Soviet amphibious reconnaissance tank.A brief historyBy the beginning of the German invasion in 1941, the Red Army operated several hundred T-38 tanks. Designed as reconnaissance vehicles, they were used to support infantry, maintain communication between units, and, most importantly, cross rivers and other water obstacles without the need for bridges or pontoons. Its armament was modest — a single machine gun — and the turret had to be traversed manually by the crew. But while most armored vehicles were stopped by a river, the T-38 simply kept moving. On the game battlefieldIn Victory Banner, the T-38 opens up…
- Every Flag Counts: First Map Reveal for the Capture mode - 9 June 2026
Hello everyone!Back to regular development news posting! Game development is in full swing, and today I want to clear the fog of war a bit and introduce our first map for the Capture game mode. Your mission is to take control of a small settlement near a railway station. This strategically important transport hub must be secured, which means clearing the area of enemy forces. To achieve that, you'll need to capture the enemy headquarters located at the far end of the map and then hold your ground against a large-scale counterattack. The headquarters is heavily fortified, supported by vehicles, and defended by a reinforced garrison equipped with a variety of weapons. On your way to the objective, you will encounter key strategic points marked by flags. All of them are currently under enemy control, but capturing them will turn them into vital staging grounds for your offensive.Every captu…
- New Strategic Mode Interface: A Big Overview! - 5 December 2025
Hello everyone! Work on the game continues, and today I want to share the results of a major and important update—the interface of the strategic mode. The interface has become clearer, more logical, and more convenient. Here’s what the “Capture the Flag” mode screen now looks like.Let’s break down each element and its purpose in more detail.Top PanelAt the top of the screen, you’ll find information about the course of the battle and quick access to the squads created by the player.Buttons “1,” “2,” and so on allow you to quickly switch between these squads. A squad is created by selecting any group of units and assigning it a hotkey.Victory points in the “Capture the Flag” mode are also displayed here. You can see the side, the number of points gained, and the controlled flags. The filling circle indicates a flag that is currently being captured. In the corner, there is a panel with reinf…
- Planning Phase: Building Fortifications - 28 October 2025
Hello everyone! Victory Banner is a strategy game inspired by real historical events and battle locations. That’s why it has space not only for fights and shootouts but also for an equally important part of any military action—the planning phase and building fortifications. Before each mission, you will have the chance to study the map, your available inventory, vehicles, and squad composition, and use them as effectively as possible to win the battle. To prepare positions in advance and organize an effective defense or a well-thought-out attack line, you will have machine gun nests, rifle pits, minefields, anti-tank hedgehogs, trenches, and other types of fortifications.Mines and anti-tank hedgehogs can be placed with the help of an engineering truck. Load it with everything you need and drive it to the point where construction is planned. Building is possible within a small area around…
- From Idea to Game: The First Chapter of the Victory Banner Story - 22 August 2025
Hello everyone! This post opens a series of publications about the game and the development process. Today I will tell you a little about how the game was created, what served as inspiration, and what future plans are.First, let’s get acquainted. My name is Dmitry, I am the developer of the game Victory Banner — a tactical strategy about the Second World War.Victory Banner combines my two main passions: history and game development. I have always been fascinated by cause-and-effect relationships in history, how decisions made decades ago continue to influence the present. For me, this is not just a game, but an attempt to convey an important part of the past through interactivity. Without moralizing or lecturing, but with respect for the subject. I want to show that heroism was manifested not only in large battles remembered by everyone, but also in events that never made it onto the pag…
