Hey everyone! It's Marten here, once again with some Defunct news. Since the last update we've published for the game, we've been encountering some bugs in the game, which we haven't able to crush just yet. Now, as a temporary update, we're going to do the following. From now on, when you start the game, you'll get the option of choosing between playing in the current version (V1.0.2) or the previous version (V1.0.1). Choosing for the previous version will ensure that your experience is optimal as you won't encounter any of the following bugs: An issue where players can't pick up boosts properly in some instances Issues with collectibles, not registering properly Clipping issues, in rare cases players are falling through the map Lighting bugs Issues with audio levels Please be aware that when you play the game in v1.0.1, you'll start with a fresh save file. Hey all! To celebrate that Defunct is coming to PS4 and Xbox One, we've added a lot of languages to the game today! Here's the complete list of languages in the game: In game since launch English French Spanish Italian German Swedish Dutch Added languages Arabic Brazilian Portuguese Chinese (Traditional) Chinese (Simplified) Danish Finnish Greek Hungarian Japanese Korean Norwegian Polish Romanian Russian Turkish Ukrainian Thai If you run into any issues with your language in the game, or any others for that matter, please let me know in the comments or post your questions in the discussions tab! Hello speedsters! Thanks for an awesome SGDQ, it was an honor to be part of such a fantastic event. First a message to all of our new players! If you're interested in speed-running the game (or just want to hang out with people) you can always join the official Discord channel: https://discordapp.com/invite/0wiFJQrwEAwwZEcI There you will get help starting out and learn all them strats! So another minor patch is up and running! It came to our attention that some players had problems with the camera bugging out. This turned out to be a Field of View(FoV) issue. Another problem maker were those pesky zip-lines. They sometimes sent you flying in the opposite direction if you hit them in certain ways. These should both be resolved. Keep letting us know what problems you're having and we'll do our best to resolve them. Fixes: Fixed the Camera bug associated with the FoV sliders. Fixed so tha…

This way the levels are better optimised which helps them with setting a new record time! For those of you that don't know, Defunct is participating in Games Done Quick (Summer Edition) this year. Rockbottom doesn't stay locked when you use the Oasis skip. Music won't disappear when you restart a level.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks after the release of Defunct. A lot of people have been playing; racing, gliding, grinding and whatnot in our post-human racing adventure. We’d like to thank everyone for their feedback and contributions. However the most heard issue was controller support. Well we hope we have some good news! All commonly supported controllers should now work as intended. We’ll spare you the technical details and hope everyone can now use their preferred controller in Defunct. Of course if you are still having issues, please let us know. In addition to the controller fixes, two other issues were fixed: • Fixed highlighting bug when exiting input mapping with mouse. • Fixed highlighting bug not showing selection correctly in some drop- down lists.

At the moment the talented people at Freshly Squeezed are working very hard to catch the last bugs, polish the code and make sure that the game plays and runs as smooth as it’s high speed gameplay demands. On the latest additions have been the inclusion of more languages. We believe gaming should be inclusive and playing a game in your own language is a great way to get more gamers into the mix. The following languages have been added: • French • German • Italian • (Brazilian) Portuguese • Spanish.
