  At SFB Games, we're very proud of Tangle Tower's outstanding original score by Raphael Benjamin Meyer, and we know from the number of people who listen to it monthly that our players agree that it’s brilliant. With tracks ranging from the epic to the eerie, it brings to life the peculiar world of Tangle Tower. So, we have created a standalone player option in the game, so you can enjoy the soundtrack at your leisure. Curl up with a good book and wallow in the melancholic melody of ‘The Music Room’. • Patch notes for 8th October - 8 October 2021

  Hello! Since Unity has removed the startup window from all Unity games now, where you could select resolution ad fullscreen/windowed, I've now added a resolution setting to the menu! I've also added a button to the title screen to be able to close the game. Fancy! And I've made the analogue stick controls better, if that's how you're playing. Much nice to move the cursor about now. This is all getting ready for the Steam Deck, and for Big Picture Mode in general. We do have an actual content update coming soon, more news to follow...

  There is something so visually pleasing about 2D animation. It has a fluidity and bounciness that take me back to the simple joys of watching Saturday morning cartoons. But great animation in games is more than just fun wrapping paper. When done well, it plays an integral part in teaching mechanics, communicating a game's overall atmosphere, and plays an important role in how we interact with the game's world. Being pretty certainly helps, though. The best ones aren’t so much about the ‘whodunnit’, but the ‘howdunnit’. The former’s still important for a satisfying ending, of course, but unravelling what appears to be the impossible (how did they get in? How did they leave?) is a much more brain-pleasing knot to unpick than figuring out which of the many shifty faces in front of you looks the most suspicious. Tangle Tower , the latest game from Snipperclips brothers SFB Games, goes one step further, though. Instead of a person being the prime murder suspect in this charming Phoenix Wright meets Professor Layton-style detective puzzler, it’s *checks notes*… …a portrait holding a blood-tipped knife?
