  Hi everyone! I wanted to share a quick update about Rogue Cell and Maplelike Games.I originally created Rogue Cell as a portfolio piece, and it ended up exceeding my expectations thanks to your support. Its success is what helped me land a full-time role after a difficult period in the games industry, which I’m very grateful for.With such a large shift, I’ve decided to wind down my company and remove Rogue Cell from the Steam store in order to focus on other things. I'd love to continue making small games like Rogue Cell, and hope to continue doing that in the future. If you've already purchased Rogue Cell, you will still be able to download, install, and play the game.Thank you to everyone who supported the project both in development and after release, I couldn't have done it without you. • Hotfix for Unity security vulnerability - 4 October 2025

  Updated Unity version to patch Unity security vulnerability. You can read more about the issue on Unity's website: https://unity.com/security/sept-2025-01. Valve have also already released a new Steam Client update to all users to block a game launch through the Steam Client when an exploit attempt is detected.

• Rogue Cell 1.1 Released! - 9 June 2025

  We're happy to announce that the first update for Rogue Cell, version 1.1, has been released! We tried hard to get this one out while the game is still on sale. This update includes New Game+, quality of life improvements, and some bug fixes, outlined below.New Game+Spoilers ahead for those who want to experience it for themselves!NG+ is a mode that will unlock once you have completed the main game. For those who have already beaten the boss, this mode should automatically unlock. You can access this mode from the main menu by selecting New Game+.As hinted at in the above notification, NG+ will throw hazards at you right from the start, including prey cells, predator cells, viruses, and a couple new variants:Fast Prey: these speedy cells are similar to regular prey cells, except they will zip by at greater speeds and won't deviate to grab mass.Tiny Viruses: these smaller viruses will dr…

  Version 1.1 PlansRogue Cell's release came with a lot of great feedback, and we've loved hearing it. You enjoyed the game; it's the perfect balance of short and sweet, it's got a lot of polish, it's incredibly relaxing, but you want just a bit more out of it. We get it! Rogue Cell might have started as a solo developer's portfolio piece, but why not make that portfolio piece just a bit bigger? So, with nothing better to do, we've started working on a Version 1.1 update that will bring a few quality of life improvements as well as a challenging New Game+ to attempt.While we can't promise a specific date, we are aiming to have 1.1 published within the next week, so stay tuned for an update announcement.NG+New Game+ will unlock after completing the main game.
