- 150,000 Wishlists & What’s Next on the Roadmap - 14 September 2026
We just passed 150,000 wishlists on Steam.A huge milestone for us. Thank you to everyone who has been following the development, joining our playtests and giving us feedback. So, what’s next?Community playtest. Our immediate focus is finishing Pointe du Hoc and its Operation Mode. We’re getting close to putting it back in your hands for another community playtest.Operation Mode takes the battle through three phases:Phase 1: Establish Communications The US Rangers must carry and deploy a radio on designated high ground and complete the transmission. The Germans must stop them by destroying the radios or exhausting the US reinforcement pool.Phase 2: Destroy the Artillery Once communications are established, the Rangers must locate the hidden German artillery positions and destroy them. The Germans must defend the guns and prevent the objective from being completed.Phase 3: Hold Until Dawn T…
- MG42 Comes to Pointe du Hoc - 11 September 2026
MG42 Progress UpdateHere are some new screenshots of the MG42, now fully textured and getting ready for Pointe du Hoc.The MG42 will be a two-man-operated weapon, with one player handling the gun while the second helps keep it running under sustained fire.We are also working on the details that make the weapon feel alive. The current asset includes:Two bipod mounting positions, using either the front or middle socketTexture variants for the barrel cleaning phaseBarrel overheatingHeat tinting after sustained fireBarrel replacement when overheating becomes too severeAnd yes... if you keep firing long enough, the barrel will overheat and you will need to change it.This is one of the first steps toward making crew-operated weapons a proper part of the combat experience in Brass Rain.

- Roadmap Update & Current Focus - 11 June 2026
Hi everyone,I wanted to give you a quick update on where we are with Brass Rain.Right now, we're focused on some technical foundations that we've postponed for too long. They're not the most visible changes from a player's perspective, but they'll make the game much easier and faster for us to develop going forward. It's important work that will allow us to be more efficient and flexible as we continue building the game.Once that work is complete, we'll be concentrating on two major gameplay initiatives:Operations Mode We're taking a fresh look at how to make Operations meaningful, fun, and rewarding. We'll be prototyping several ideas, including bringing combined arms gameplay to Pointe du Hoc, and we'll see what works best through testing.A New Combined Arms Map We're planning to replace the current Castle Itter map with a new map designed from the ground up to support both PvP infant…
- Let Us Cook - 29 May 2026
Here is an important update about Brass Rain Demo. We’ve made the difficult decision to delay the Brass Rain demo release, originally planned for June 6, 2026. Simply put, the game had not yet reached the vision or quality bar we originally set for ourselves. We refused to rush something unfinished just to hit a date. While the Pointe du Hoc visuals and atmosphere have improved massively, the gameplay still needs refinement before we can confidently put Brass Rain in players’ hands. On this map, the Operations mode, which we believe can make Brass Rain truly unique, needs more work to create the kind of experience that makes players wishlist the game and impatiently wait for release. In addition, while reducing scope to meet the deadline, we compromised too much on the combined arms aspect of the experience and ended up with something closer to a traditional FPS. We now want to correct…

- Hyper-realistic WW2 MMO is "going beyond War Thunder," and it's got this historian's seal of approval - 21 November 2025
For all of my musings about Vampire: The Masquerade and high fantasy adventures like Dragon Age, my university degrees are in genocide history and war studies - you probably expected English literature, but don't worry, I get that a lot. My primary focus for six years of my life was World War 2; it's why I struggle to watch movies about it or thrust myself into many triple-A shooters; my inner perfectionist just knows they're not real . But of all the historical titles that have passed my desk in my years at PCGamesN, Brass Rain might be the one that's interested me the most - not least because it's an MMO , and man, I love MMOs.
