  • Build 1.0.3 - 22 September 2026

Build 1.0.3 Bug Fixes: Controllers: Fixed controllers running through DS4Windows or Steam Input sometimes sending every button press two or three times. Missions: Fixed network missions asking for one more part than they actually needed. Saves: Fixed mission progress still showing after wiping your save, until the game was restarted. Parts: Fixed Legendary parts showing that they could be combined with another copy of themselves. Legendary is the top rarity, so there is nothing to combine into. Transmitter: Fixed the FM upgrade on the Transmitter not showing as ranged in the upgrade drawer's preview. UI/Upgrades: Fixed the upgrade drawer's previews being counted as installed parts while it was open, which briefly boosted relics and upgrades that scale with your part count. Bug Reporting: Fixed logs sent from the bug report page missing the last few minutes of the session, which was usua…

  • Build 1.0.2 - Steam Deck Optimizations - 18 September 2026

Build 1.0.2We've been busy this week working on bug fixes and requested features. A few of the biggest requests were for improved performance and better high-resolution support. In response, we implemented major optimizations across the game, specifically targeting Steam Deck performance. We're happy to report that the game now runs at a solid 60 FPS on the Deck, with only occasional dips into the 50s. We are still setting this to 30 FPS by default to be on the safe side, and ensure you have no frame rate drops. However if you want Cloudbreaker as smooth as possible, and accept the occasional dip towards the end of a run, you can set this to 60 in the options menu.We also reworked the Crisp display mode and made it the default setting, ensuring the game looks sharp on larger screens. Finally, we changed analytics from opt-out to opt-in. While opt-out helped us gather key balancing data du…

  • Build 1.0.1 - Fixed false flag crash logs - 16 September 2026

Build 1.0.1 Balance: Scrap islands now pay out between 15 and 45 Scrap, down from 10 to 60, to fit current upgrade costs. Bug Fixes: Fixed a crash report popup appearing on launch after quitting the game from the Steam Deck menu, or after closing the game anywhere other than the start menu. Fixed a crash report popup appearing after waking a Steam Deck (or any PC) from sleep with the game open. Fixed the crash report popup not being navigable with a controller. Fixed targeting weapons missing large bosses. A big enemy was only counted as in range from its top left side. Fixed the Inkspot Magi turning invisible during some of its attacks, and getting stuck in its bubbling animation after a bubble swarm. Fixed overcharge motes sometimes failing to be picked up when an enemy was killed by contact damage. Fixed Mirror Link tilting its mirror line when the relic was placed rotated. Fixed rel…

  • Build 0.4.3 - 8 September 2026

Build 0.4.3New Content:New dive results panel on the finish screen.A lost dive now tells you how long you survived instead of just "Dive Failed". The layer select remembers the difficulty modifiers and Endless mode setting from your last dive. The game now pauses when the Steam overlay is opened, and when the last connected controller is unplugged. A Send Logs button on the Report Bug page, for sending us the game's logs. The keyboard prompt icons are finished off across the whole set. Balance:Endless mode: enemy health now climbs steadily with your run time, doubling roughly every twenty minutes and capping at sixteen times, so a powered up ship still has something to fight an hour in. elite and burst waves are gated by rarity early on, so the nastiest enemy in a layer can no longer turn up two minutes into a run. Endless mode and Abyss spawn curves retuned throughout.Salvage islands a…

  • Steam Deck Compatibility - 26 August 2026

Cloudbreaker on Steam Deck: what to expectCloudbreaker plays well on Steam Deck and it targets 30 fps. The controls are the part we are proudest of. The framerate is the part we would rather you know about before you buy than after. Controls are built for the DeckCloudbreaker has full native controller support, and we tuned it on Deck hardware specifically, not just on a controller plugged into a desktop. No community layout needed. Pick it up and play.Deck button prompts throughout, including menus and tooltips.Every screen is navigable on the sticks and face buttons. You never have to reach for the touchscreen, though it works if you prefer it.The Engine Grid, the most menu-heavy part of the game, was reworked for gamepad. The cursor snaps between slots instead of drifting freely.UI scale and text size were checked at 1280x800. Nothing you need to read is too small at arm's length. Th…

  • Cloudbreaker has a demo that will hook you with an inventory management bullet heaven mixture - 9 July 2026

Cloudbreaker is a recent fixation of mine for blending together the popularised bullet heaven elements from Vampire Survivors with inventory management. • The Cloudbreaker Demo is Live! - 15 May 2026

The day is finally here. The Cloudbreaker demo is officially live on Steam. You can download it right now and start crafting the perfect sky ship. Here's the setup: Haven is sinking. The power of the Bloil Crystal is fading, food is running low, and the Biotes outside aren't getting any friendlier. You're a Cloudbreaker, which means it's on you to dive through the clouds and collect what you need to survive. Brave the depths and just maybe you'll bring back a Bloil Crystal so Haven can last another generation.Your inventory is your build. Every Engine Part you pick up slots into the Engine Grid, and how you arrange them changes everything. Place the right pieces next to each other and you'll start seeing synergies that turn a rough dive into a power trip. Place them wrong and, well, you'll learn fast. This demo is also our warm-up for Steam Next Fest in June, so we'd love for you to jump…
