Greetings, adventurers! ːsteamhappyːHere's a new update for Caverns and Dryads!It comes with two new features:FAST SPELL CASTING: Once you have cast your first spell in combat, if you press and hold on the spellbook instead of doing a quick click, you will go directly to the page of the same spell realm and function. This allows you to cast spells much faster. If you want to cast a completely different spell, simply click as usual.TAKE ALL LOOT: If you have enough space in your inventory, the new button lets you take all loot at once. Weapons and armor must still be taken separately, since they involve decisions. Gold can be collected even if you have no inventory space left.Other additions include a tutorial to help new players understand the camping strategy. It contains the following, and updating is recommended:THE BESTIARY DLC RECEIVES A MAJOR UPDATEIt applies automatically if you already own it, simply by updating the game.Now, when you enter combat, if you open the Bestiary the first thing that will appear is the entry of the monster you are currently fighting.It makes sense that if you open the Bestiary at that moment, this is what you want to see first. This also helps you find the entry immediately, even if you didn’t catch the monster’s name when it appeared.If you don’t have the Bestiary: it’s a DLC. You simply buy it and it activates. It contains the entry and characteristics of all monsters, bosses included, and lore. What you pay goes toward development costs. Greetings, adventurers! ːsteamhappyː This is an IMPORTANT and EXCITING release!I’ve finally recovered enough to program and design again. Even though I still don’t have as many hours as before, I’ve been very efficient. I’m genuinely thrilled about this update!Without extending myself, here’s the best part:Combat improvements: two new actions. They are block (“parry”) and charge. These actions make combat more strategic and also more lethal if used well.The old defense action becomes parry. The defense action now gives up attacking but makes you defend better. It can help you expose yourself less against an enemy that only Sioul’s magic can defeat.Better information: the combat log now shows a shorter but deeper description of what happens. You’ll see roll scores, what each contender does, and the damage inflicted.Regarding the new actions:Parry means giving up attacking this turn, but…

- 2.2.5 Bugfix and minor changes - 17 June 2026
This fixes a bug in the Bestiary DLC for those who got it. It also changes the name of two characters, because of worldbuilding. I am still working hard on the boss quests and the story of the second part. Stay tuned on the blog, I'll show some preview there when I have some more. Greetings, adventurers! ːsteamhappyːThis update 2.2 is very important! Some advanced players felt there was a lack of challenge. With this change, there will always be a minimum risk in every battle. At the same time, less experienced players will still have the same chances to progress as before.Some players play to relax in the dark‑fantasy atmosphere of Caverns and Dryads.
