  Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is almost here – due on January 24th – and the space-naval strategy sequel looks to be a tad bigger and more ambitious than its predecessor. In the very seriously narrated info-dump trailer below (it sounds like the man is speaking in ALL CAPS ALL THE TIME), it lays out what its new single-player side entails. While there are twelve playable factions, the story side of the game contains just three campaigns – Imperial, Necron & Tyranid – though each has their own distinct systems and even narrative style. • Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 release date delayed to January - 31 August 2018

  Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 has been delayed into next year, publisher Focus Home Interactive has announced. Originally scheduled for release in September, developer Tindalos Interactive has now pushed the game—which pits Cathedral-sized spaceships against one another in gigantic RTS battles—into January 2019. “These couple of additional months of development will allow developers Tindalos to polish the game and bring all their ambitions to life after the great success met by the first game,” Focus Home said in a statement. These months won’t be used purely for fine-tuning, however. Focus Home added that the extra time will also see a new feature added to the game; cooperative multiplayer. The sequel to 2016's well-received Warhammer 40,000-flavoured real-time strategy space battle game includes all 12 factions from the original Games Workshop tabletop game and its expansion Armada. Publishers Focus Home today announced a sequel to Tindalos Interactive’s 2016 game , saying it will launch some time later this year. • We played the most hated Warhammer games on Steam so you don't have to - 24 July 2017

  Sweet lord, I’ve played a lot of Warhammer for this feature. I’ve become the Bad Games Inquisitor, seeking out the average and the disappointing, passing judgement in the Emperor’s name. And I still feel there are some I’ve missed, concealed in the inky recesses of Steam, hidden like 6/10 heretics. Suffer not the mediocre tie-in to live.  It’s actually been difficult for the wrong reasons. Despite Warhammer games being released at the same rate as bolter rounds, it’s surprisingly difficult to find real stinkers on Steam. Maybe the standard is getting higher; maybe the truly shatto ones have been delisted. The sad downside is only I agreed to do this because a) money and b) I thought I’d get to play loads of middling, 7/10 fantasy games that I somehow missed first time around. But no.
