- Midgardr launches January 8th, 2027 - 22 September 2026
Midgardr launches January 8th, 2027 and with this trailer, the curtain lifts a little further. What you've been playing as a strategic board game has another side: a first-person gameplay component that exists beyond the city-building, beyond the cards, beyond the Duke. This redefines what kind of game Midgardr actually is. It will make you wonder: are you really just a medieval administrator? Or also someone actually moving the pieces on a game board? If you played the demo, you already felt it. If you haven't, now is the time. The board is set.All Hail the Holy Radish
- Midgardr is not just what it looks like... there's much more ahead! - 10 August 2026
Midgardr is not just what it looks likeAt first glance, it's a medieval city builder: you're a Duke, exiled by the King, tasked with building a village and keeping it alive. Cards, turns, resources, choices. A strategic board game. But Midgardr has a dual identity and those who played the demo to the very end already know it. Because someone, somewhere, is moving those pieces on the board.Think of it as a medieval Jumanji hiding more than it showsA game within a game, a threshold between two worlds. What the demo reveals is just a glimpse a small opening into something much larger that will fully unfold in the complete release, which we'll be announcing very soon. This is why we invite you to play the demo: not just to experience a narrative strategy game, but to understand what Midgardr is becoming. Will your village thrive… or crumble beneath truths yet unknown? Are you really just... a…

- Demo Patch #1 - Next Fest Edition - 12 June 2026
We're updating the demo for Next Fest! These changes come directly from the feedback we received after launch, so thank you to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts. The most recurring criticism was about balance, and this patch is our answer. We've worked on deck balance and the overall flow of the game. Balance is still a work in progress, but from this version cards will arrive in a more varied and consistent way, and the tools to get out of the trickiest situations will show up more naturally, always within the full respect of the player's management choices.Result: a lightweight system that doesn't impact performance and stays invisible to the player. The game won't save you, but it will give you what you need, when you need it. If you've already played and feel like another run, let us know if you notice the difference!Anyone who plays the demo during Next Fest will hav…

- The Demo drops on June 3rd (finally!) - 28 May 2026
The Demo is Coming on June 3rdWe promised it after the playtest. Here it is! We're taking advantage of our participation in Strategems Festival to make it official: On June 3rd the Midgardr demo goes live and if you played the playtest, you'll notice something different straight away. You won't be playing Chapter 1 this time. You'll be playing the Prologue. Same systems but a different entry point into the world. The Prologue is where the story begins: You'll learn who the Duke is, why he was banished, and what brought him to the edge of everything. It sets the stage for everything that comes after. But you might also catch a glimpse of something bigger: The Prologue carries a hint about the meta-narrative about who's actually holding the cards. Whose hands are these, anyway? The goal is simple: reach the end without letting the village collapse into chaos. And keeping the peace is harder…
- To our 650 Playtesters: THANK YOU - 19 May 2026
First of all, thank you! Every single one of you, all 650*. It wasn't a given that so many people would want to get their hands on Midgardr... and still in its development phase at that. *technically there were 649 of you, but that felt wrong, so we rounded up heheWhen we opened the playtest we didn't expect such a big response. We actually had to extend it by an extra week because requests kept coming in! In the end we found ourselves with 650 people who had played and had opinions to share. We read everything. Here's what we learned:Most people had fun (yay!) But maybe the orange slice told us the most important thing: those who struggled at the beginning found their footing. For us that means the learning curve works. The game is learned by playing, there's something to figure out, and it's worth figuring out. And then there's what isn't there: nobody, zero people, chose 'I wouldn't p…

- Become part of the game: let's write a piece of Midgardr together - 30 April 2026
Midgardr is a game of choices. Anyone taking part in our playtest knows it well — open until 11/05! One of the things that comes through most clearly across Midgardr's mechanics are the Events of destiny, event cards that must be faced every three turns. Each one is a small story: a situation to deal with, a decision to make, an unknown consequence... revealed only after the choice has been made. That's their choose-and-discover mechanic. Writing these events is one of the most peculiar jobs in development: it demands creativity, narrative sensibility, and a certain ability to think in systems. It's a long process, sometimes frustrating. It's not for everyone... but for those who get into it, it's hard to stop. That's why we're opening it up to the community! \LINK] We've put together a form where you can submit your own events for Midgardr. There are no strict rules to get started, you…

- Milan games Week Recap - 4 December 2025
This year we decided to take Midgardr — and its demo — all around Europe. We stopped in Germany, Austria, Portugal… but we always knew that at some point, we’d have to come back home🇮🇹 And nothing beats the Italian community when it comes to made-in-Italy projects✨ The welcome at Milano Games Week was incredible. Our stand (gorgeous, by the way) was constantly full, people lining up to play (even Yotobi stopped by aaaaa), players sitting down and refusing to get up because they wanted to reach the end. Maaaaaybe we should bring a shorter demo to events — but honestly, it was amazing to watch! We gathered tons of feedback and tons of enthusiasm. But the best part of all was connecting with other Italian developers: finally chatting in person, sharing advice, exchanging ideas. We really missed that.Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who stopped by, played, asked questio…
- Holy Radish at DevGAMM Lisbon! - 12 November 2025
We’ve just got back from DevGAMM Lisbon 2025, and wow, what an experience! We were invited after winning one of the free indie booths, plus the chance to pitch Midgardr live on stage in front of publishers and devs from all over the world. Two intense days at the Myriad Hotel, full of creativity, meetings, and inspiring people. The highlight? The Pitch Contest: five teams, five minutes to pitch, three judges, and… Midgardr won! 🎉 As winners, we received two Business Tickets for DevGAMM 2026 — and we still don’t know where it’ll take us next… Dubai? Gdańsk? Portugal again? Stay tuned 👀To make things even better, our victory also landed us a front-page feature on GameMarkt, which totally blew our minds. Seeing Midgardr up there was just surreal!Check it our here 👉 https://www.gamesmarket.global/danish-and-italian-studios-win-devgamm-public-pitches/ It’s been an unforgettable experience,…
- Holy Radish at Polaris 2025 - 15 October 2025
Last weekend we had the chance to be part of Polaris 2025 in Hamburg, three amazing days packed with 50,000 visitors, cosplay, artists, delicious food, and way too many cool things to see and do. For us, it was an unforgettable experience. We met so many players, developers, and passionate people, and we’re incredibly grateful for all the conversations, feedback, and positive energy we received. We were there thanks to Indie Booth Arena, who selected us as one of only ten indie teams in Europe to showcase their projects this year (check them out here). Being part of that lineup already felt like a huge milestone for us.It was also the very first time players got to try the demo of Midgardr. We’ll be honest: we were excited, but also a bit terrified. Strategy games aren’t the easiest fit for conventions; people usually expect fast-paced titles you can test in a few minutes. We went there…
