- Subtle Makeup and Eye Rework - 14 March 2026
I've added some makeup to Cira to enhance her eyes and make her look even more beautiful.I've also redone the eye shader; now they're much more reflective and don't have that blank, empty look. The result, in my opinion, is a much more natural-looking Cira.Play and support the game on Patreon or Subscribestar
- Lighting in Unreal Engine - 13 March 2026
Today's post is a bit more technical. I want to keep you updated on my progress, not only in the game's development itself, but also in using the game engine.Let's get started. Lighting in video games is a very important feature, not only visually, but also technically. Calculating lighting is one of the most computationally demanding processes for computers, which is why different techniques have been developed over the years to accomplish it. I won't bore you with too much information and will get straight to the point: in Unreal Engine, you have several options for integrating lighting into your project, each with its own pros and cons. These are the options: • Static Lighting: Offers the best performance, but can't be moved or changed and doesn't allow rendering shadows on dynamic objects (although there is a workaround for this). • Stationary Lighting: Combines static lighting with…
- Biomass Color - 7 March 2026
I'm going to implement some visual changes that I've had since the early versions of the game, when the goal was to make it a bit more stylized and less realistic. In this case, I've changed the color of the biomass to a more horrifying tone, moving closer to the body horror theme.Play and support the game on Patreon or Subscribestar
- Enemy Strafe - 6 March 2026
Today we'll talk about a new enemy feature: strafing.During combat, enemies may enter this state, analyzing how to attack you. This can be a good opportunity for you to attack, but be careful; if you close the distance, they might attack you.To make lateral movement as realistic as possible, the game calculates whether there are any collisions in the direction of movement and whether the AI can trace a path from its current position to the target. This is represented by the red sphere. The duration and direction of strafing are completely random each time the enemy decides to use it.This feature is part of a series of AI improvements I'll be implementing during game development, so that each enemy has its own unique characteristics and behaviors.Play and support the game on Patreon or Subscribestar
- Gaiqn | New Enemy ☠ - 28 February 2026
Today's post is quite interesting. What happens when the infection can't use its host's reproductive system? It transforms them into a beast. A Gaiqn is the result (in the best-case scenario). This beast retains human physical abilities, but its mind is completely devoid of reasoning. Because of this, its primal instincts flourish and multiply, practically transforming it into an animal. Now some enemies will have more complex behaviors: stay tuned for upcoming posts!Play and support the game on Patreon or Subscribestar
- The Hangar - 27 February 2026
These days I'm working on The Hangar, the new environment. I'm quite happy with how it's turning out.I'll be releasing the update focused on this environment in two parts: I think there's enough content to split it and make each part interesting for you.I don't want to give too much away, but on the platform you can see in the images, Cira will face a powerful enemy. (I'm really looking forward to developing this part and showing it to you!)Play and support the game on Patreon or Subscribestar
- Ladder 🪜 - 21 February 2026
This time I'm bringing you another new mechanic: the ladder. It's useful for making level design easier, and also for giving you some great camera angles :)There's not much more to say about it; I'm already working on the new environment.Play and support the game on Patreon or Subscribestar
- Enemy Grab 🤜🫂 | New mechanic - 20 February 2026
Here's a very interesting mechanic: enemy grabs. When an enemy grabs Cira, a short randomized camera and speed sequence will play, showing the protagonist being attacked by the enemy. It's a feature I mentioned a while ago that I wanted to add. During this sequence, Cira's health will decrease. In this case, it's the Tentacle Trap's grab, a creature that silently watches from the ceiling, hunting any unsuspecting creature that comes within its range. It's best to watch your step.Poor Cira.Play and support the game on Patreon or Subscribestar
- Toxic Gas ☣ | New mechanic - 14 February 2026
Today I'm bringing you the second of the new mechanics: toxic gas (or similar substances).Cira can only pass through this gas if she has a mask in her inventory; otherwise, the gas will quickly deplete her health. If you see this gas, don't forget to bring your mask to pass through it. Cira will automatically equip it upon approaching. While inside, visibility will be greatly reduced, so be carefu, you never know what might be nearby. This mechanic will help me refine the level design.Play and support the game on Patreon or Subscribestar
- Crawl | New mechanic - 13 February 2026
Yesterday I finished developing the crawl mechanic. It will replace the entrance section where Cira had to crawl through the ventilation ducts. It will be integrated into the new update, which will have a number of interesting new mechanics that I'll be showing you as I develop them. The crawl adapts to different ground slopes, allowing the player to use this mechanic to reach areas of the map they wouldn't normally be able to access. Now you'll enjoy the views as Cira crawls through hidden areas of the Canopy.Play and support the game on Patreon or Subscribestar
- Mesh Deformer: the solution to a problem that had been dragging on for some time - 7 February 2026
Hi everyone, today I want to talk about something a bit more technical.During my several years developing video games, I've repeatedly encountered the same problem: the models I used for my games had strange deformations when their limbs bent. I thought it was something that simply couldn't be fixed. Why was this happening? Well, there are two ways to calculate model deformations when bones rotate: Dual Quaternion Skinning (DQS) and Linear Blend Skinning (LBS).Generally, game engines use LBS, so when a model is designed to be animated with DQS or vice versa, deformations appear. This isn't usually a problem for games without adult content; however, in games of this nature, limbs will rotate to certain limits and need to look good. With my current workflow for importing models into game engines, all the models I use are DQS-ready.Luckily, I found the solution with Unreal Engine: using a Def…
- Populating The Atrium - 6 February 2026
Populating The AtriumI've been populating The Atrium a bit today. It felt too static without people around. Each NPC is automatically generated with a random set of physical characteristics. I didn't want to invest too much time into this, so there won't be much variety for this update, but it's enough for now.I'm happy with how this environment is turning out, and there are still many things to add (for future updates).

- ? | The Collector 🃏 - 27 October 2025
No one knows her real name. Before the infection spread through Canopy-6, she was already… different. Quiet, withdrawn, with unusual tastes that made others keep their distance. But the parasite changed everything. Her mutation is unlike anything seen before — its growth seems strangely paused, yet her body carries undeniable marks of transformation. Instead of breaking her, these changes have awakened something hidden: a side of her that no longer hides behind shyness or fear. Now she embraces her true self — unapologetic, confident, and dangerously fascinating. She is The Collector. And in the Atrium, surrounded by her strange treasures, you’ll discover just how unsettling — and alluring — she can be.What do you think about the result? Are you looking forward to meeting her?Play and support the game on Patreon or Subscribestar
- The Collector's Room - 24 October 2025
Here's The Collector's room.As you can see, it's quite messy; he/she can't seem to stop accumulating things.Cira will stop by to exchange the tarot cards she's found. What she receives in return is still a mystery. With this, I've almost finished designing The Atrium's environment. I won't show you some rooms to maintain some mystery.Next step: designing The CollectorPlay and support the game on Patreon or Subscribestar
- Storage Crate - 22 October 2025
I've taken a break from character and environment development. I want to resume when my mind is fresh again.Meanwhile, I've been developing a new mechanic: the storage crate. This storage crate allows you to store items you don't want to carry in your inventory. This way, you can free up space to grab other items or periodically accumulate resources for when you need them. You can find it in all Safe Rooms. The contents are shared across all storage crates.Play and support the game on Patreon or Subscribestar
