Hey everyone! Here’s a look at what we’ve been working on this week for No One Leaves the Field.🌾 Expanding the WorldA big focus this week has been planning out the main game beyond the demo. We officially laid out the remaining landmarks you’ll discover as you explore deeper into the cursed farm. We’ve started building the first of these major locations—the Barn—which will play an important role in early progression. But that’s only one part of the expanded world.New areas being designed include:The Pumpkin Patch – a new ritual-focused area tied closely to the harvest themes.New rooms inside the Farmhouse – sections that were locked off in the demo will open later in the game.Ancient Ruins – hidden remnants of the land’s old beliefs, offering new story revelations (and dangers). These locations will slowly unfold across the game’s four narrative acts.📖 Structuring the Full GameWe’ve be…

- 🌾 No One Leaves the Field — Devlog | November 2, 2025 - 2 November 2025
It’s been a hauntingly exciting week in No One Leaves the Field! Between Steam Scream Fest and Halloween, the cursed wheat has seen more visitors than ever. Watching players wander through the fog, light their first candle, and catch that first glimpse of the scarecrow has been incredibly rewarding for our team.We built the demo as a slow burn—a story that creeps up on you. Seeing players experience that tension firsthand has been the highlight of the season. The field is doing exactly what it was meant to do: draw you in, keep you guessing, and make you wonder what waits beyond the next row of wheat.🌾 How Long Do Players Survive the Field?Since launch, over 900 players have added No One Leaves the Field Demo to their Steam libraries—and the brave ones are sticking around. The average playtime is 28 minutes, showing that players are exploring, discovering secrets, and venturing deeper i…

- 🌾 Demo Day Reactions & What’s Next - 28 September 2025
Last week we had the chance to showcase No One Leaves the Field at IGDA San Diego’s Demo Day. It was the first time players outside the studio got to step into the wheatfield, hear the whispers, and come face-to-face with the scarecrow. We’ll admit, it was a little nerve-wracking putting the game in front of fresh eyes — but the results were everything we hoped for. Players leaned forward, crept carefully, and yes… more than a few jumped when the scarecrow finally caught them. That’s exactly the kind of tension and surprise we’ve been working to build into the game, and it was so rewarding to see it land. The feedback we received during the showcase was invaluable. Watching how people approached the farmhouse, how they reacted to the pacing, and even how they handled the smaller details gave us plenty of notes to bring back into development. These early playtests are helping us polish the…
