• Bug fixes - 13 April 2026

  Fixed a couple bug fixes:Pressing Esc to exit the "Return to Main Menu" screen used to freeze player movement. Now just click "No" to return to the game.One of the food items wouldn't raise the player's health, now it's working.

• Blood Country is finished, and ready for final playtesting - 13 December 2025

  Blood Country is now in final playtesting, and will be released January 23, 2026!I'm seeing what might need some last-minute polishing, and testing all the achievements.When January 23, 2026 arrives, the bullets will fly!

• Steam Achievements and Better enemy movement - 29 November 2025

  The achievements I've added are:Kill 5 enemies using the knifeKill 10 enemies using the knifeFinish the game using only the knifeFinish the game without raising your healthFinish the game without taking any damageEach difficulty level will have their own set of these achievements.I've also made it so the enemies move around the levels better. They no longer get stuck whilechasing the player.

• Demo has been updated with Player Upgrades and Difficulty Levels - 1 October 2025

  Now the demo allows the player to get the upgrades that are in the full game. The player can also choose which difficulty level to play at: Easy, Normal, Hard, or Nightmare. The upgrades are in the updated tutorial.

  I've added temporary upgrades:Revolver Repeater - it fires two bullets with one trigger pullShotgun Spreader - it gives the shotgun a wider spreadBulletproof Vest - the player is bulletproof Speed Drink - this drink makes the player run fasterSuper Dynamite - it gives the dynamite a wider damage area

• Difficulty levels added to game - 22 June 2025

  I've added a difficulty level system to the game: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Nightmare.

• Fixed some issues in the game/demo - 14 June 2025

  Issues fixed and changes made that were brought to my attention:enemies in the town level were seeing the player through walls, and they would all surround the player at once, causing slowdowns.sometimes enemies would be moving much faster than they should have been, their speeds were fixedthe cursor was sometimes hard to see, so I made it bolder and a bit brighterin ultrawide, the UI was off the screen, I fixed that, but I don't have access to an ultrawide monitor to test itI moved the Tutorial button from the Options screen to the Main Menu screen

• Japanese language added to the game - 12 June 2025

  I've added Japanese to the language selection in both the game and the demo.

• New Levels - 3 June 2025

  I've added a new section where the player goes through caves to defeat outlaws. The hazards are that you can't throw dynamite over walls like in the desert levels. If you set off an explosion, it will cause a small cave-in, possibly blocking your path. I've updated the demo with this level, which happens after the town level.

• New languages added to the game - 3 May 2025

  I've added French, German, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese.

• Blood Country Update 1 - 26 April 2025

  I'm adding more languages for the game. Right now I'm adding French, Italian, German, and Spanish. If anyone has a language they would like added, let me know. I've also noticed that the tutorial in the demo wasn't loading, so I'm fixing that right now.
