- Pyramis 1.0.1 (it's not the refactor sorry) - 24 July 2026
This is just a small update to the GDScript version of Pyramis. The refactor is still a work in progress, but while you wait, I figured I might as well do something nice...! Removed the time limit from the quick config menu. Originally, it was supposed to be possible to set the game up like an arcade game, and everything was designed to eventually force you to continue. ...There's not much point to this in the GDScript version anymore, though, so I removed it. (I might bring the arcade setup idea back for the refactor, and only have the timer apply under that circumstance.) Version number has been added back to the title screen. Thank you for your patience and kindness so far. I'm sorry that the refactor's taken so long. I still think the currently available version is fun to play every now and then, and I hope you do too.By the way, in the previous update post, I mentioned the idea of…
- Still working on the new version! - 29 May 2026
Hi, sorry that it's been a while since the last update! I don't have anything too exciting to share right now, but I at least want to ease any potential worries and talk about how things are going.A lot of what I'm about to talk about is a bit technical, and probably only really interesting if you're interested in programming-related stuff, so if you don't want to bother with all that and go on with your day, the TL;DR is just that I am indeed still working on the game and that there's nothing to worry about.Around the time of the previous update I posted, I did start working on a refactor of the game using the C# version of Godot! Gameplay-wise, it was actually turning out really good... but I guess I didn't have a very good grasp of what I was doing with C#, because the performance was kind of terrible... especially for a simple puzzle game like this one. I didn't really know how to f…
- Pyramis 1.0.0 + Future development plans - 16 July 2025
It's finally here! Pyramis 1.0.0! ...Now, you may notice that barely anything has changed in this update. Don't worry! I'll explain after these patch notes: Adjusted the order of the colors in palettes 4 & 5 to further emphasize the intent of a respective "warm" and "cool" palette when playing with 3 colors. When I decided the original order of the colors, I had this idea that the first color of the palette had to be the color most similar to red. I thought about it a little more, and actually, never mind, that's dumb. (Aside from some very slight tweaks for contrast reasons, the original color scheme is still available when playing with 4 colors.) Adjusted the colors of palette 6. The original white colored block looked strange when the highlight effect was applied to it, so it's been changed to a cool off-white. Version number is no longer shown in-game. As for the final-looking versi…
- Pyramis 0.3.2 - 12 July 2025
Mirage, the mascot of Pyramis, has been added to the game! She appeared in the background of the old trial version, and if you looked closely, you'd have noticed that she was always in the taskbar icon... but now she'll be right next to your board, cheering you on as you play!Originally, the alternate block palettes were implemented as an accessibility option for colorblind players, but players without colorblindness still chose them for the sake of playing with different colors... so additional palettes have been added! Now those with full color vision can play with palettes such as "Warm Sunset" and "Cotton Candy" instead of "Muddy Dark Yellow That Was Only Added As An Option In Case You Need To Resort To It To Perceive The Game"In addition to this, the red-green colorblindness palette's colors have been reordered to look nicer when playing with 3 colors.Copyright screen has been adde…
- Pyramis 0.3.1 - 9 June 2025
This version fixes an issue I noticed when watching gameplay from Notester82 (Thank you for streaming Pyramis, and sorry about the bug!) Fixed an issue that caused crush scores to be incorrectly calculated at certain speed settings. The entire score was supposed to be rounded down to prevent issues with decimal numbers, but by mistake, it was only applied to the game speed multiplier! This means that playing at x1.5 speed would only earn you a x1.0 multiplier, and playing at x0.5 speed would apply an absolutely devastating x0.0 multiplier. I apologize for this mistake. The speed multiplier option was added last minute before the Steam launch, and probably should have been tested further. I suppose this is also the nature of Early Access, though. I'd like to thank all of you Early Access players for supporting me as I figure these things out. With these being the first patch notes on Ste…
