I was inspired by the minimalism of 1990's action-adventure games on the Game Boy & Game Boy Color. I felt there was more to explore within the constraints of those early handheld games. Pact Warden features top-down exploration and combat as well as side view platforming and combat. It also includes dynamic characters, with their own narratives that intertwine with your journey. Boss Fights Find dungeons and depths which lead to multi-phased boss fights, featuring top-down and side combat. Exploration The world is a mystery with new lore revealed through exploration. Explore the world to find new environments, new characters, and new mechanics. Choices Matter Dialogue with characters will often involve binary choices along the conversation. These choices will impact the character moving forward, changing their fate as well as their disposition towards you. It's important to be mindful of how a choice will alter a character's life, as their life is important to your survival.
