• Update: Voice Acting Disabled - 27 June 2026

  Based on the large amount of player feedback, voice acting has now been disabled by default. Many players felt that the voice acting negatively affected the atmosphere and overall experience, so after reading your reviews and comments, I decided to remove it from the default gameplay experience. The game can now be enjoyed without voice acting, allowing the environment, sound design, and tension to take center stage. Thank you to everyone who shared honest feedback. Your reviews help make the game better, and I will continue improving Dire Echo based on your suggestions.
