Hi everyone! It was supposed to be just a little extra hidden thing if you got the Android version of Game With Balls, but after making over 70 little mini levels it just had to be a standalone release. Three different themes: Wood, Drawn and Pixel. Perfect for short commutes to see if you can beat your own best time. You can get Game With Balls for WearOS on the Google Play store. I have added one level to the mixed section of the Steam Deck version to try it out, but it will feel very different trying to complete it on your watch!

Hi! So what I thought would be an upgrade, making the game run at 90fps for OLED Steam Decks, in the latest update broke two levels in the challenges. I rolled back this "upgrade" and now everything should be back to normal and Game With Balls runs at the regular 60fps again for everyone. - New level and Game With Balls now on Android! - 27 August 2026
Hi everyone! Went full circle as Game With Balls was inspired by those old mobile games for your phone. Now you can play it on Android phones! I made a special level that you now play on your Steam Deck! You can get the Android version (but you shouldn't as you are already playing on your Steam Deck!) only on the Google Play Store. - New upcoming Steam Deck/Controller game: Fingerdrums! - 4 August 2026
Hi everyone! Announcing a new little project I am working on: Fingerdrums! Using the Steam Controller or the Steam Deck touchpads, it will be a roughly 30-minute experience, taking you through different rhythms and a bit of an abstract story. No worries. For this one, I am also building in controller mapping and keyboard support if you are still waiting in the queue for the Steam Controller. Fingerdrums is in the early stage of development, but it is something I am working on while traveling for work, so I thought I'd already share the feel of it on Steam. Just a little teaser. - Game With Balls on the Steam Machine - 15 July 2026
Hi everyone! Someone was kind and gave away his place on the waitinglist for me so now I was able to test my little things on the Steam Machine. And yes: Game With Balls works straight out of the box. But, before you begin, there are black borders on both sides of the screen as the whole game was designed with the Steam Deck screen (1280x800) in mind. A lot of the levels will just not scale/strech/fill nicely so I have decided not to do this for the existing levels, but looking into adding maybe 16:9 support for future levels. Don't worry they will also still work on the Deck. On the Steam Machine it will also show that you need keyboard and mouse, but that is not true. Unfortenately if I tick the "only with controller" it will also say that the Xbox controller is supported, which it doesn't. - New mixed level: Acrylic Markers - 9 June 2026
New level! I already had the acrylic markers from making the anaglyph glasses for the Red and Blue theme, but after seeing Banksy's Crisis As Usual at the Art of Banksy in Utrecht I thought it would be fun to make a maze with them. - New theme: Red/Blue - 18 May 2026
Hi everyone! The new theme is now available! Just update Game With Balls and you have the 20 new 3D levels!Probably the question I got the most after release was "Why not 3D?" and well... So here are 20 levels that are completely 3D and if you have anaglyph glasses, those red/blue paper ones, you can even enjoy it in MORE 3D. Red for the left eye! I even made a couple custom ones that you can order from my website. Thank you everyone for playing Game With Balls! I have still 2 more large updates in my head that are coming this year, but will make a new announcement when they are ready enough. - Trading Cards now available! - 4 May 2026
Hi everyone! Just a little announcement that Steam Trading Cards are now available for Game With Balls! Including badges, backgrounds and emoticons! The emoticons spell ːdrawnredbː ːdrawnblueaː ːdrawnbluelː ːdrawnredlː ːdrawngreensː and are available on the Steam Point Shop. Also I can now say that the new theme (RedBlue) is coming to the Steam Deck on the 18th of May!
- The first Anaglyph glasses available! - 1 May 2026
The upcoming Red/Blue theme was created entirely on my PC, but I still wanted to bring something into the real world. So… I started drawing on anaglyph glasses that you can own and use to play the new theme! Think of those cardboard glasses you used to get for free with that weird dinosaur magazine, but now redesigned with Game With Balls themes.You can find the glasses on my own little storepage I build (tested, but let me know if something goes wrong) and follow me on Instagram or BlueSky if you want to know when new glasses are added! As I am not always home you can see the data when the next batch will be send out on top of the page.
- New theme coming: 3D - Red/Blue - 19 April 2026
Hi everyone! I can finally announce the next full theme that will be coming to Game With Balls! Red-Blue or Cyan-Red or just 3D. The comment I got the most when releasing was: "Why not 3D?!" So this new upcoming theme is completely 3D! I know most people meant the 3D they experienced in the old iPod Touch game Labyrinth, but wanted to do something different. Still nostalgic. Remember those days that you got the carton glasses with a poorly written magazine about dinosaurs that kind of looked 3D. Ah and don't worry if you don't have those glasses laying around or if you already get nauseous by the idea of anaglyph 3d. . You can turn the effect off. The theme will have 20 new levels and will be coming in the next few months, but you can already play one level right now on the Steam Deck in the Mixed section (level 14)! Hi everyone! While the updates to Game With Balls are coming along (more info on a new theme soon) a new little project has started: Mini AirHockey! A tiny game that will turn your Steam Deck into a mini airhockey table including a system where you can organise your own local tournament up to 8 players! Not sure when it will be released, but you can already wishlist it to get a notification!

Hi everyone! This is a small patch with some minor fixes. I also wanted to take this opportunity to show how to adjust the resolution settings on the Steam Deck to make sure you’re running the game at the intended 60 FPS.Two other notes for the actual things that changed in the patch:History Level 1 & 2 collision fix. The ball should now not clip through the wall. Thank you for reporting Makaroni. The patch looks big for only these fixes, but I am already pre-loading some of the levels and new mechanics for the next theme that I am working on!Thank you guys for getting to the bottom of this and working on some new levels that are coming your way!

During the making of Game With Balls, I have been looking at different old mazes, and I thought: How cool would it be if you could actually play them.So here they are. All drawn on paper. - PATCH #2 - 21 March 2026
Hi everyone! This is just a quick small patch to add DirectX 11 & 12 support for people that want to play it on PC with a controller and have issues with Vulkan. It might also help with a very small set of Steam Deck players that experience performance issues where the framerate is 20fps or lower. The game should normally target 60fps when no TDP limit, FPS limit is set or manual GPU clock is set. See FAQ for more information. At startup you will get 3 different options. If you never had any issues best is to use the default one that uses Vulkan otherwise you could try one of the DirectX versions. If you get an unsupported error about DirectX that means the game is not updated and you should force an update. Normally rebooting the Steam Deck is enough to force this. A collection of mini games to play together undocked. For Game With Balls the first large update will come on the 2nd of April, together with the Switch release, with 20 new drawn levels based on historical mazes and labyrinths, because humans have been drawing them for thousands of years. I joined buddies (Rimboe & Cars) of mine before when they would go out to paint, but never picked up the cans myself. As Game With Balls is also a little experiment for myself to see what artforms I enjoy the most, I just had to do it for at least one level. That is why the mixed section exists! You can now play my first ever graffiti piece in the game. Thank you all for trying out Game With Balls and more updates (with a large one on the 2nd of April) are coming!

Hi everyone! Probably the question I got the most from friends is: When is Game With Balls coming to the Switch? As they don't own a Steam Deck... Behind the scenes I have been working on a separate version that I can finally announce and will release on the 2nd of April 2026. Also on that date I will release the new theme for the Steam Deck: History. Mazes and labyrinths based on the past where people used the designs to meditate and tell stories. Including 7 new music tracks. To celebrate the announcement of the Switch version I have painted a new level that you can now play in the Mixed section of the Steam Deck version! As always.
